As part of the A4LE-Association for Learning Environments New England Chapter, JCJ’s Emily Czarnecki, NCIDQ, Lead Interior Designer, and Jeffrey Elliott, AIA, LEED AP, Lead Project Designer, will lead a tour of the new New Fairfield High School on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM EDT. This tour will delve into the design considerations and objectives behind the new New Fairfield High School, highlighting the unique education-collaboration model that influenced decision-making. Now completing its first year of operation, the school’s administrative and design team will share their insights and lessons learned, including early thoughts around a formal survey that will track specific success metrics. JCJ was thrilled to both attend and sponsor the New England Real Estate Journal 2024 Hotel & Hospitality Summit, which took place yesterday at The Venue at Portwalk Place in Portsmouth, NH. The event brought together industry leaders and experts for an insightful exploration of forecast and trends in the hotel and hospitality industry. JCJ’s Principal, Harry Wheeler, AIA, participated in a dynamic panel discussion along with John Schultzel of The Olympia Companies, Matthew LaBarre from Marriott International, and Sean Riley of Maine Course Hospitality Group. The panel was expertly moderated by James O'Connell, ISHC of HREC Investment Advisors. The summit also featured keynote speaker Anthony Melchiorri, the host of the Travel Channel’s “Hotel Impossible.” Melchiorri’s insights into the future of hospitality provided valuable perspectives on industry innovation and evolution.
