With the right technology, anyone can produce incredible results effortlessly! That's why I love the 3Shape TRIOS 5. The price point is significantly lower and it's easier to use than ever before. ZERO compromises of quality and user-experience. I find this analogous to my Sony ZV-E1, which is the smaller and lighter cinema camera which shares the same sensor and new AI technology with the more expensive cameras (Sony FX3 and A7Siii). Underexpose When Shooting Leopards! If you're photographing a leopard in a tree, the chances are that there will be very few bright areas—unless there's a lot of open sky. That will often confuse camera exposure meters, which are programmed to think that the world reflects 18% of the light falling on it. That mistake will lead to your images being brighter than they should be as the camera tries to stop the image being 'too dark'. The answer is to overexpose deliberately, either by changing your shutter speed, aperture or ISO (if you're in manual mode) or by dialling in a stop of negative exposure compensation (if you're in one of the other exposure modes). In fact, you can go even further. Leopards tend to look good in moody, low-key shots, so you can even underexpose by two, three or even four stops—especially if there's a convenient shaft of sunlight on the face of the animal! One of the things I enjoy most about aviation photography is the challenge of photographing a subject capable of great speed and finding ways to demonstrate that speed in a static image. For airplanes like this P-40 Warhawk, flown by Thom Richard, a terrific way to convey speed when low to the ground is to use a slower shutter speed, while smoothly panning with the aircraft. In this instance I used a Nikon Z9 with a Nikkor 500mm, f/5.6 PF @ 1/100 sec, f/6.3, ISO 32. The resulting photograph blurs the background nicely, while keeping the subject sharp.
