I am thrilled to share that I have completed an enriching experiential project with Lighthouse XR, a pioneering company specializing in VR headsets for the prevention of substance use disorder. This opportunity has been a game-changer in my understanding of the intersection between cutting-edge technology and healthcare. 🌟 Through this project, I explored comprehensive regulatory strategies and pathways for VR headsets as medical devices 🔍, gaining insights into the costs and timelines of bringing such innovative devices to market. This experience highlighted the importance of strategic planning and resource allocation in the regulatory process💡. I acquired extensive knowledge about medical devices, specifically software as a medical device (SaMD), and found the complexities of these advanced technologies and their regulatory considerations fascinating. Working on this project allowed me to grasp the critical documents required for FDA submissions 📄 , providing hands-on experience with regulatory documentation that is invaluable for my future career in regulatory affairs. A heartfelt thank you to Dale DeJarnette for her unwavering support throughout the project and to the Northeastern University Experiential Network team for this amazing opportunity. This project was a great learning experience and solidified my passion for regulatory affairs and my commitment to advancing healthcare through innovative solutions. 🤗 I am eager to apply these learnings and contribute to the dynamic field of regulatory affairs.
