As a Nigerian, the ongoing African cup of nations tournament finally caught my attention considering the recent victory of the Super Eagles. Watching the round of sixteen tie between Equatorial Guinea and Guinea on Sunday evening reminded me of how consistency and tenacity can be vital in the pursuit of either your career or personal goals. Pundits already predicted a comfortable win for Equatorial Guinea based on their performance in the group stages but Guinea held on and scored a last minute winner to secure a nail-biting win that secured a quarter-final slot. What lessons can be taken home from this victory? 1. Nothing is actually impossible. 2. Keep pushing and doing. 3. Enjoy the process regardless of how stressful it is. 4. Be strategic and know when to make necessary adjustments. 5. Maximize every opportunity. As you get to work this new week, always remember that all you have to do is “LEAP AND THE NET WILL APPEAR”. Cheers to a new week.

Education Director of The International Professional Scouting Organisation & Worldwide Education Consultant and Tutor to the Polish FA, Romania FA, Estonia FA, Uzbekistan FA, India FA, Malaysia FA & Ministry of Sport.
It costs nothing to 👀 look. You will be pleasantly surprised of the details in the workshops and the thought provoking questions & answers we provide. As well as students wanting to be a scout the biggest winners from this would be Analysts & Agents. Too many analysts are just looking at the data side and basic scouting courses that won’t be enough when your head of recruitment asks you to go and look at a player live or through a video. You need the real scouting skills that takes years to learn! Patrolling the grounds hoping to pick up tips as you progress that can take a few years to get to where you want to be, when in reality you can take a look at IPSO and save yourself years of guessing and listening to the wrong people who are also doing the same as you. Do it properly to save yourself time and to cancel out all the mistakes you will make that could cost you your job ⚽️😉👍.
IPSO is an International Education Provider delivering football education in the world of scouting & analysis. 🥋🥊Excitement is building as we gear up for the NSJJ Championships! I have dug into the archives for my IBJ Asia Pacific Title Fight in Japan – a challenging yet rewarding experience. As we approach the tournament under IBJ rules, I'm eager to share some insights and experiences from my past journey with all the competitors. This was a tough match against a much bigger, heavier and experienced opponent. I was genuinely scared. The Australian team also badly needed the win, as we had not had much luck to that point. Anyone who knows me knows I am all about the team and team mates. However, if you have put in the hard work, remained disciplined, prepared diligently, worked on your fitness and have self-belief, you are already on the path to success. For competitors, entering your bout with a well-thought out strategy is crucial. In my case, I wanted to establish an early lead. I scored a takedown, which was highly risky against a BJJ Black Belt, but I knew I would get the lead and set the tone. I then went to work with techniques only from NSJJ Kickbox Set 2, as they are simple yet effective, helping break down my formidable opponent. I would then land head kicks to continue building points, but only when they were on. After the first round, the takedown and a head kick had me up. This allowed me to go to work in the second round with confidence, where fitness and determination played a huge part. Luckily, I managed to win. Being able to share this moment with my Sensei and my team mates meant the world to me. As more of a coach / trainer these days, I find it hard watching this video. I missed the trip on the takedown, I could have checked more kicks, and my right hand was waving around...I don't know what it was doing. But that is part of the test on the day. You cannot be overly critical of yourself, otherwise you will do nothing in life. Get out there, have a go, have faith in your preparation, and each experience provides an opportunity for growth. The camaraderie outside the ring is just as memorable as the fierce competition within it. After the bout, I was lucky enough to meet and hang out with Ray and all the competitors. What a champion bloke!!! Tournaments are about fighting with your heart and spirit, but the friendships forged under battle will always be remembered. To all the competitors, tomorrow is your moment to shine. Trust in your preparation, have fun, and embrace the spirit of the event. For spectators, you are in for an incredible show at PCYC North Sydney, 224 Falcon Street, starting at 1.00pm (but get there earlier). Your support means the world to everyone competing. 👊⭐️ https://bit.ly/DHiggsIBJ Video Credit: Northstar Ju Jitsu quantummartialarts.com.au / https://lnkd.in/geG6Dea3 / arrowmartialarts.com.au / weststarmartialarts.com.au #buildabetteryou #martialarts #selfdefence #fitness #blackbelt #jujitsu #mma #bjj #kickboxing #judo #brazilianjiujitsu #karate #boxing #muaythai #quantummartialarts #qma

Rugby League is a sport that is deeply ingrained in the culture of Papua New Guinea (PNG) and It is a sport that is loved and played with passion and dedication, regardless of the surface or field conditions. Is it worth investing in NRL? You are all entitled to your opinion, and so am I. Just a 2 toea opinion regarding the recent interest from the Government of Papua New Guinea to have a rugby team in the NRL competition in Australia. One may argue that there are countless social and economic benefits that are associated with this proportion. However, I strongly believe that GoPNG should consider taking another approach, and that is to create a junior development bath way for all other sporting activities, including job and training opportunities for engineering, science, and technical skills development. In fact, there are countless PNGans, both young and old and male and female, who have excel well in engineering, science, and technical skills than in sports. On the other hard, we have seen a lot of PNGans doing extremely well in other sports including soccer, AFL, Rugby Union, boxing, weight lifting, cricket and other sporting activities. Given such facts, I believe GoPNG should come up with better workable strategies so that we can have a lot of our sports and educated personnel be send overseas to play in various sporting activities and work in industries, not just in Australia but other countries too. Rugby alone can't solve the high unemployment rate in the country. Additionally, much of the games that are most likely to be played in PNG would be in Port Moresby alone. What about the other Provinces and Districts? How will they benefit from having an NRL team, other than the rugby players? Therefore, let's focus on other sporting activities and job opportunities where we can equally have people from all demographic factors including gender, age, educational level or background and many more involved in.
