Question?? What are my chances of getting into my top-choice schools? This is a tough question to answer definitively, as college admissions decisions are based on a variety of factors, including academic performance, extracurricular activities, standardized test scores, personal essays, and letters of recommendation. However, there are a few things you can do to increase your chances of getting into your top-choice schools. First, make sure you are applying to a mix of schools, including some that are "safety" schools (schools where you are likely to be admitted), "target" schools (schools where you have a good chance of being admitted), and "reach" schools (schools where you are a less likely to be admitted but would really love to attend). Second, make sure your application is strong and that you highlight all of your strengths and accomplishments. Finally, be prepared to interview with your top-choice schools. Are you lost in the maze of College Admissions? Not sure where to begin your family's journey? I wrote this free book below to give you the best resource to find the answers to those questions and more! Send Me a DM. I can help!

"Please stop reading College Confidential admissions forums. These online posts are from people trying to find validation and approval, and there is no way to confirm the accuracy of the information they post. The advice in the comments is from anonymous people who are most likely not qualified even to give advice. They do not know you or your story. Yes, the college admission process is flawed, and it can be tempting to turn to the internet for quick and easy advice to assuage your nerves. However, there are several resources online from college counselors and admissions officers who have more credibility than the people making comments on the forums." #collegeadmissions #collegeprep

Familiarize yourself with common College Admissions Glossary Terms you may find in your College Admissions Letters for upcoming seniors and transfer students. · Deferred Admission is permission from a college that has accepted you to postpone enrolling. · Early Action (EA) is the option to submit your applications before the regular deadline. Early Action plans are not binding. · Early Decision is an option to apply to your first -choice college before the regular deadlines. REA applications are typically due in November. · Open Admission is a policy of accepting any high school graduate, no matter what their grades are. Almost all two-year community colleges have an Open Admission policy. · Rolling Admission is a policy of considering each application as soon as all required information has been received. · Waitlist is the list of applicants who may be admitted if space becomes available. · Articulation Agreement is between two-year and four-year colleges making it easier to transfer credits.
