    Excellent points you’ve made Justin Wright and I can’t agree more. However, IMHO, there’s one factor that goes missing oftentimes - #ownership. Do you want to get your work done? Give people the ownership! It can supersede all other motivations. My thoughts.

    As a leader your words and actions must align. Your team and other colleagues are influenced by observing how your actions and words align. Do you practice what you preach? - How do you react/treat others when you disagree - How you are in group settings vs 1:1s - How you discuss difficult situations with others - How you express frustration - How you give and receive feedback - How do you explain or discuss a decision was made that you didn’t agree with - How you handle conflict - How do you speak of those you may not always vibe with - How do you treat colleagues, peers, leaders, team members in a group when you disagree All of these things matter. As leaders it is important that what we preach and practice aren’t contrafictory. We can’t effectively hold our teams accountable if we are constantly contradicting ourselves.
