📈 Ex Care Assistant turned care recruitment expert | Helping amazing people work in the care industry | Values based recruitment advocate ☺️ 👉 📧 [email protected]
A Friday afternoon care recruitment tip for you... You need to pay a noticeable difference between 'Care Assistants/Support Workers' and 'Senior Care Assistants/Field Care Supervisors.' Too many companies are doing this: 'Care Assistants/Support Workers' - £12 an hour 'Senior Care Assistants/Field Care Supervisors' - £12.50 an hour It's madness to think people will take on a lot more responsibility for an extra 50p an hour. Pay Senior Care Staff/Field Care Supervisors £13,£14,£15 an hour and you'll quickly see the calibre of people applying for these roles. It ALSO gives your current Care Assistants/Support Workers a huge incentive to want to do further NVQ's and take on more responsibility. Guess what happens then? You retain a LOT more staff as you're incentivising people. I hope this helps you and your care teams. #carerecruitment #retention

Daily Tip: Some nannies have years or even decades of experience and aren’t able to advance in their careers. Experience alone doesn’t make you qualified for a higher-level position or more generous compensation package. You have to demonstrate that your years of experience bring real benefits to the family. That experience has made you a more knowledgeable, skilled, responsive, intuitive, attuned, adaptable caregiver, household support person, and employee with solid expertise around the job requirements. It’s important to continue to ask yourself “What am I learning?” and ”How am I improving?” #nanny #nannyqualifications

Are your CNA’s among the 2000+ in Connecticut searching to work at another facility? I have heard rumors from many CNA’s who are looking for other job opportunities! Have you seen all the new job postings on Indeed and ZipRecruiter for CNA’s? If your staff is looking to leave, there are a lot of opportunities out there for them! But if you're looking to hire new staff to replace the ones that leave, you have some stiff competition! Most CNA’s claim poor working conditions and not enough staff to be their biggest reasons why they leave! Imagine how fast that word of mouth gets around. Especially, if you’re trying to hire! RightPro offers different solutions to help you! From per diem to cover a single shift, or RightCare to provide private care to fall-risk and memory care residents in facilities, or rehab patients going home but need assistance. Let's meet to go over everything RightPro and RightCare have to offer your facility, let’s schedule a quick chat! [email protected].

NY and NJ Administrators, I've recently been fielding lots of calls from you folks regarding the current market so you can better position yourselves with your current companies or possibly new ones. I'll make it easy for all of us and share my findings here. * Yes, there are still many nursing home administrator positions open BUT the expectations are HIGH. * There is tremendous competition for the very few admins who actually meet or exceed said expectations. Don't take this personally but there are very few of you. In fact, I'd even rate the difficulty on par with being a recruiter! 😉 * The salaries and benefits each of you are getting, ranges wildly but it strikes me as fair for the most part when you consider admin ability, experience, building size and population, specialties, and owner personality disorders (besides my clients of course). * The job will be vastly different depending on which company you work for. Some owners are fantastic and appreciative and supportive and some are.... just, um.... not. * The NJ market has gotten very competitive over the last few years and admins can often get as much as NY admins and at times more (so if you were thinking about moving to NJ at any point, here's your cue....) * Most of you think you should and could get a regional position tomorrow. Those are very hard to land because EVERYONE is in the market for that and financing right now is terrible. * Last but not least, all of you will admit that you'd prefer doing just about anything else. All of you would even take a paycut for it. And on that positive note, I'm currently looking for administrators across NY and NJ. Message me if you'd like to talk 🙂

On a mission to improve the healthcare experience for all with proven narrative medicine | Boost morale in 30 days - guaranteed
A nurse, exhausted after a grueling shift, slumps against the wall in a quiet corridor. She checks her phone, seeing yet another plea for overtime. For a moment, she considers leaving - the stress, the understaffing, the feeling of being undervalued weighing heavily on her. This isn't just one nurse's story. It's a crisis unfolding in hospitals across the nation. Now, imagine this: A nurse, exhausted after a grueling, even harrowing shift, pauses by a screen. She sees a colleague's face, hears their story of triumph against overwhelming odds. For a moment, she's transported - reminded of why she chose this noble profession. This isn't fantasy. It's the transformative power of nurse recognition storytelling videos. Hospital administrators often feel the weight of competing priorities: - Bridging the perceived gap between leadership and frontline staff - Rekindling goodwill in an era of resource constraints - Combating declining morale and a negative organizational culture - Stemming the tide of staff turnover and its impact on patient care But what if the solution was simple? Research shows that storytelling builds empathy, changes perspectives, challenges prejudices, and sparks meaningful dialogue. In just 5 minutes a day, these videos: - Make leadership more accessible and relatable - Boost morale by celebrating everyday heroism - Foster a culture of appreciation and shared purpose - Improve retention by reminding nurses of their impact - Ultimately enhance patient care through a more engaged workforce We've all experienced the power of an inspiring story to lift us up in challenging times. I'm curious - how has someone else's story, or the act of sharing your own, helped you overcome obstacles or find renewed purpose in your work? #HealthcareLeadership #NurseRetention #StorytellingInHealthcare

Over the next few weeks we are going to be showcasing how we provide excellent training to our staff and how we support people in their professional development. Recently, we have just held our mandatory training in basic life support and manual handling for support workers. We are deeply committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of our young people and staff and Basic Life Support training teaches staff how to recognise life-threatening emergencies and provide potentially life-saving assistance. From CPR to using an AED, these crucial skills allow our team to act quickly and confidently in crisis situations. Manual handling training instructs staff in safe techniques for lifting, transferring and more. Proper training is essential for avoiding strains, falls and other adverse events. It goes without saying that this training would positively impact any care worker and by investing in this training, we create a safer environment and give our support workers the skills to provide high-quality care while protecting themselves. If you haven't been to one of our training sessions or want more information, please get in touch https://lnkd.in/escErx2m #socialcare #basiclifesupport #manualhandling #complexcare #supportworkerjobs #togetherwearebetter

It was my day to child mind today, my gorgeous 1 year old grandson and to get him to nursery for 9am and work for 9.30. I’d forgotten a couple of things 1. how wriggly a toddler is when getting their clothes on in a rush. 2. How you feel like you’ve done a days work before you get there. 3. I’m 20+ years older and knackered with menapause symptoms since my kids were at nursery! I have spent many years caring for a registered blind daughter with a rare complex disease and it’s been really tough navigating hospital appointments and trying to do your job well - I gave up my career ambition because of how impossible it was to do both caring and career well long term. It really does wear you down! I was once told by an nhs trust that an interview could not be moved even though I told them I’d be sitting in one of their wards with my child having chemo. It was for an HR BP role, and they told me tough I’d have to withdraw - I mean you couldn’t make it up! Today was a great reminder of how hard working parents work before they actually arrive to work. Working at South Tyneside Health Collaboration has allowed me to get back on track with my career be a carer, and a granny and still do a senior job I love well and carry on with my OD and consultancy work. #flexibleworking #grannyduties #eldership #livedexperience #toddlertantrumsrequireHRT
