The amazing folk at The Committee for Brisbane have drafted a submission to the Queensland Government in response to the draft ShapingSEQ 2023 plan to shape the future growth of the LGAs in South East Queensland. Among the committee's considerations are: 1. A greater articulation of SEQ’s identity and a bolder vision for our future (including digital connectivity and the impact of global megatrends like AI and transport automation) 2. Detailed infrastructure and transport planning required to support growth (particularly the focus on developing SEQ’s digital capacity as a ‘data community’) 3. Housing strategy – clarification and future steps (particularly the focus on sustainability) 4. Government accountability and implementation (and the proposal to strengthen the governance framework) Read the full submission at the link in the first comment.
