As we wrap up Front Desk Appreciation Week, we’re thrilled to highlight Aurora Hughes from Hampton Inn Portland Downtown - Waterfront, nominated by General Manager Jeremy Obptande. Jeremy shared that recently Aurora identified a Make-A-Wish reservation and proactively brought it to the management team’s attention. Aurora ensured that everyone was aware of the reservation and came up with creative ways to make the stay even more special for the guest. Today, we’re thrilled to highlight another Front Desk Champion Marlene Lopez from Residence Inn San Mateo, nominated by General Manager Hugo Hernandez! Hugo shared a touching story about Marlene’s exceptional service: “We had a guest who stayed with us due to water damage in her home. Before checking in, she came to tour the property to ensure it was a good fit for her. The guest had difficulty walking, so she needed a ground-floor room near the gatehouse. On her arrival day, Marlene made sure to block a suitable room and coordinated with the housekeeping and maintenance teams to prepare it for her long-term stay. She even arranged for our houseperson to assist the guest with her belongings upon arrival. Thanks to Marlene’s efforts, the guest posted a lovely review!” Thank you, Marlene, for your compassionate dedication to our guests! Today, we’re excited to spotlight Angela Lawrence from Embassy Suites Springfield, who was nominated twice by the Sales team, including Maya C. and Cassandra Lopez! Maya shared a story that highlights Angela's commitment to going above and beyond: “Last week, we had a guest who needed help navigating public transportation and wasn’t sure where to go. Angela not only gave him directions, but she also researched which bus and metro to take. She even stayed to make sure he got on the right bus!” Thank you, Angela, for your outstanding dedication and care!
