What does celebrating success look like at your organisation? We had a great time at our company summer party, just over 2 weeks ago, and we're excited to share some of the photos with you ☀ From team presentations to delicious food, and lots of laughter in between, it was a perfect day to celebrate our hard work and achievements. Why celebrate? 🎉 Recognise hard work: our team work so hard, and this was a great way to say "Thank you." 🎉 Boost morale: events like these strengthen our working relationships and keep us motivated moving forwards. 🎉 Create memories: moments like these are the ones we’ll look back on and remember fondly. We believe in celebrating every win, big or small. Whether it’s a summer party, a team lunch, or just a simple shoutout - acknowledge the efforts and achievements within your team. Did you know 90% of Fortune 500 companies have Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), yet only approx. 5% of companies compensate for their ERG Leads? I am happy to report that Samsara is part of that 5% that recognizes ERG Leads by providing a spot bonus for all of the work we do on top of our day jobs to provide a diverse and inclusive environment for all. How cool is that? In a time where DE&I efforts are gaining less traction at companies, I am grateful to see and be part of this recognition/continued investment. A huge shout-out to all of our ERG leads/committee members for their amazing work building a more inclusive & diverse workplace for all. Getting hired is one thing, having a place where you belong/feel included is what will make you stay. A huge shout-out to Adebola Morton, Nikki Klepper, Kirsten Mitchell and Lynita Taylor, EdD, MBA for leading the way!

If we take a moment to look, signs of collaboration inspiration, and team work are all around us. This weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the Varsity Spirit All-star Summit event, and I have to say it was incredible. Not only did we see some phenomenal talent, we saw cheer teams watching and encouraging their competitors during practice, we saw amazing sportsmanship displayed by teams who were competing with each other. We saw signs of outstanding team work. One of the most impressive things I saw was when a team’s routine did not go as planned, and how the team did not blame each other, but supported each other in how to get better, focusing on things to improve. Whether you are a fan of the Cheer Leading sport or not, many of these lessons can be brought back to the workplace. We can learn from this event how to celebrate each other’s successes, how to support one another in times of difficulty or when projects or tasks come up short. We can learn how to support others who may be in competition with us for a job, a project, or funding. I know many reading this may have a vision in their mind when I mention a Cheer Leading competition, but what I saw was a ton of lessons we can learn, and bring back to our corporate environments to enhance culture and drive greater success. 

Today marks my 100th day at Jewson Partnership Solutions. It has been exciting so far, filled with warmth, support, and new opportunities. Here are a few highlights from this milestone: 🤝 Onboarding and Welcome: From day one, the open and supportive culture at Jewson Partnership Solutions, has helped me understand the business and made me feel like a valued part of the team.   🎨 Projects and Initiatives: Currently, I'm enjoying being involved in some new initiatives, such as the rebranding project of our sister business, George Boyd UK . Exciting times ahead as we shape the future of our brand!  🌐 Company Culture: What impresses me the most is the open and transparent communication within the wider STARK Building Materials UK. Frank discussions, peer support, and an inclusive environment, make every day a pleasure to be part of.  🤗 Colleague Support: A big shoutout to my colleagues for their unwavering support. From meeting invitations, to inclusive email conversations, and message groups, their effort is appreciated. 🔑 Observations: One key observation I'd like to share, is the importance of a simple but clear strategy that everyone owns. The energy and clarity it injects to company performance is transformative. Here's to the next 100 days!

Happy Friday folks! We’ve made it through the first week of the new financial year! It’s been a busy one, full of goal setting, planning, and getting ready to tackle the next 12 months. Here's what I've been up to recently: 🛫 Quick trip to Melbourne: Saw a few clients, partners, and caught up with mates. 🗺 D&A Goal Setting: Had a team Vision Day, mapping out the next 12 months. 🏆 Onboarded several brilliant new clients, all with plans for world domination in their space. 🌟 Client Wins: Celebrating client EOFY successes - more on that later. What did we do at our Team Offsite? Here's a glimpse - 1. Networking: Our Sales, Training, and Support teams joined forces to strengthen our collaboration, because we hardly get a chance to meet during our travel. 2. Trying a new Team Activity: We dove into a unique activity blending sustainability and tech. Because after all, our internal team gets the first chance to experience our cutting edge programs. 3. Getting Active and Competitive: Sports aren't just for fun (though we had loads of that!). They reveal our true selves and foster camaraderie like nothing else can. And that's why we picked up Olympics challenge. 4. Reaffirming Our Core Values: Taking time to revisit and reaffirm them was a reminder of our unique identity. Because that's our differentiator. Our offsite wasn't just about escaping the office—it was about strengthening bonds, fostering growth, and recharging our collective spirit.
