Great basic tip. It really is. However I would 'estimate' that the average Linked-in user is aware of this. So let's dig a little deeper. As a real world experiment, I searched 'GAZA' in the 3 recommended "tools for fact-checking" from the link provided. Multiple examples were detailed, I ran across many examples that I have not yet seen, but also many examples that I encountered myself were not listed (and I went through their 'pages' of documents, for the experiments sake). Try this experiment for yourself What's most important is. How many people out of 100... ok, say 100k actually look at these 'fact-checkers'? Don't laugh, it's a serious question. There are more extensive technologies to address on-line dis-information than this, even to the level of 100% of viewed online content... in a 'soft' and unintrusive manner... it's more effective than the population only seeing fact-checked information from 'random' sources. Because no-one (as a % of total internet users, views these fact-checkers) The referenced 'fact-checkers' have been active for years. How effective have they been? This data matters, its time to deploy modern solutions. Cad Gov effort to address mis/dis/mal-information... C+ Effectiveness... ? (you tell me)

Today RTE launched a new strategy which articulates how it will transform Ireland's national public service media over the next five years. As Director General Kevin Bakhurst said: “This New Direction strategy is about ensuring the future and the relevance of a transformed RTÉ. It is about delivering a strong and independent public service, available to everyone; it is about creating a trusted organisation delivering for Irish audiences; it is about backing creative ambition and digital innovation; it is about supporting Irish culture and bringing people together; it is about reflecting all of the country and supporting the creative industry across the island. This strategy sets out ambitious change in how we deliver for audiences and how we run the organisation; how we ensure that we deliver value for money and are transparent and accountable. It is ambitious - but it is deliverable. It is a plan based on our core values; it is outward looking.
