How you win at anything is to master the hard thing; don't do the lazy thing. There are a lot of creative uses for AI, automating LinkedIn comments isn't one of them :)

Election risks: People with AI will be able to craft effective, legitimate information which is engaging and mobilizing. No deepfakes, just really good, memorable media, with messages honed to address the various segments of the electorate. Just better, and more, and instant response. The AI pundits will be characterized by the quality of their outputs. The fastest will be a single individual orchestrating all underlying AI services. They will have their own tools, processes and automations. People to watch out for: individuals with a background in Social Influence and Engagement, tech savvy and well cross-trained on AI)

I might be biased, but this AI thing needs people more than ever instead of being able to replace us. Even just looking in my small world, AI is wrecking havoc in solid accounts, is incapable of creating relevant copy, is chasing after the wrong customers and spends in the wrong places. It takes longer to diagnose problems and you have a lot less freedom to make the changes you need. Which in turn gets most marketing people to justify performance with "it is what it is, I can't do anything about this". All in all, it's a solid no thanks from me so far. ☠ Are you using any AI tool for your business at the mo? Do you find it's working for you?

The major trend of 2023 was the frantic monetization of AI. Marketers decided AI would be the buzzword of the year. Those who are tuned in recognize that automation and AI have been prevalent for years, but it did raise awareness with stakeholders who aren’t familiar with AI. There were two positive benefits that I’ve observed. 1. Stakeholders are now curious about how automation and AI can improve workflows, reduce human error, augment staff, and optimize expenses. 2. Stakeholders are addressing security and privacy concerns related to AI. You can’t ignore this, because it introduces risk to your organization that you must address.

The daily dose of technological advancement we are witnessing on social media along with AI developing and getting smarter everyday, we may soon have 100% AI powered newspapers editors, financial advisers, attorneys, auditors, doctors, product managers and even sales the list goes on.. But, this does not imply that people are no longer relevant. I think, we will have more time to concentrate on the important things as AI will handle most of the tasks. And as #AI simplifies our lives, time becomes increasingly important. This is when time will become more valuable. People will earn similar or even more with much less time spent on tasks. Possibly, time will become a commodity, and a time-based ecosystem will come into existence.

How do you spot AI comments? Pretty easily. They look like these generic comments constantly appearing on posts at the moment ⬇️ A generic response, often with an emoji at the end. Theres no depth, no personal insight, humour, or slang. I often find the same people leaving comments at the exact same time intervals after I’ve posted. These two show up at exactly the same time after one of my posts goes live, suggesting their AI comments are automated as well. And the next time it happens, they’ll be blocked. I’m on LinkedIn to build relationships, and while Bicentenial Man seemed like a great guy, and Wall-E was pretty cute, I’m here to interact with HUMANS, not robots. AI has a lot of great uses, but it can’t BE you, so please stop with the lazy shortcuts when it comes to human to human interaction. You wouldn’t send a YouBot to a networking event, so stop sending them to the comment sections. You’re embarrassing yourselves.
