ruby-lsp is a solid extension to use with vscode. I spent some time today with it debugging a couple of complex issues and I was able to dig deep into our dependency tree easily without having to manually search for things. Definitely give it a shot if you're using #ruby #rubyonrails.

Rails 7.2 changed the default number of threads for a initial rails application. Previously it was at 5. Currently it is 3. Some folks have experienced a system speed behavior similar to a second degree equation. There is a optimized point from where any another point decrease the speed. This new default is not mandatory however. As soon as your system demands background jobs and customization, you will need to find your personal customized number of threads. https://lnkd.in/dMQbtW5t #ruby #rubyonrails #developer #backend #javascript #backenddeveloper #html

New: a proposal to make `frozen_string_literal: true` the default in Ruby. The proposed transition plan includes deprecation warnings & gradual migration over three Ruby releases. To migrate: - Library maintainers would support string literals or add `frozen_string_literal: false` to files - App devs could do the same, and/or use `RUBYOPT="--disable=frozen_string_literal"` to keep old behavior What do y'all think? https://lnkd.in/gYMK8VfE #Ruby #RubyOnRails

Last Week, I made a project on React using the TanStack Query library. It is so fun to use this query to fetch and submit data using useQuery() and useMutation() functions which will reduce so much code for errors and loading 😃 . The Event App also has a search functionality from which I learned the logic behind the search bar. Now, I have so many ways to fetch and send data to the server. Some of the ways I learned are using useEffect() hook, react-router-dom library, and TanStack Query library. Which one are you choosing to send data 🤔 ?
