Indra is developing several solutions under the Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) context to improve Air Traffic Management in the framework of the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking program.   ➡️In the communications domain, Indra collaborated to develop a communications network at the European level.   ➡️In the navigation context, it worked to improve Air traffic operations, by an aircraft guide during the landing, achieving a more efficient use of the spectrum and a reduction of maintenance costs.   ➡️Regarding surveillance, Indra authenticated data, through the ADS-B system which provides an additional security layer to position and speed messages.   Find out more about this technology in the video below with Daniel Polo Álvarez.👇   #SESAR3JU #DigitalEuropeanSky #ATM

The new project of DHMİ ‘The Electronic Flight Strip System’ has been put into service. The Electronic Flight Strip System (EFS) developed to maximize the speed and safety of flight operations by reducing the workload and human error factor of Air Traffic Controllers. The Electronic Flight Strip (EFS) System whose intellectual and industrial property rights belong to DHMI was developed by Turkish engineers in cooperation with DHMI and TÜBİTAK. The system which contributes to the safe and efficient management of air traffic flow at the Aerodrome Control Tower units replaces paper strips and enables the tracking and recording of flight information electronically. The system which enables the electronic transfer of strips between sectors brings many automation features, lightens the workload of air traffic controllers, minimizes human error and increases the safety of the operations. Further Improvement to the EFS System: DCL System The DCL (Digital ATC Clearance) system which was developed and integrated into the EFS system with our country's scientific knowledge and experience in this field. The system ensures that the take-off clearance received via verbal communication before the departure of flights is digitally and automatically transmitted to the pilots. Thus, service performance is significantly increased by reducing the intensity of voice communication and ATC-Pilot workload within air traffic management. 🇹🇷 Antalya TMA redesign ✈simulation exercise launched this week at #EIH the EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub!   After several months of preparation, including the definition of the validation plan, objectives and scenarios, as well as the simulation platform adaptation, the Antalya TMA real-time simulation project has just kicked off its exercise phase.   We're validating the redesigned terminal manoeuvring area with independent parallel runway operations for both nominal and non-nominal cases together with dhmi controllers in a simulation that will last for 6 weeks.   In parallel, the Istanbul TMA project is already in its third simulation week, and we are getting ready to launch the exercise phase for the Antalya Tower simulation on 18 March.   These 3 simulations comprise 3 distinct projects with different objectives and dedicated teams, each facing a unique set of challenges.   Throughout, EIH is providing simulation and validation expertise as part of an agreement signed with DHMI the Turkish #ANSP to improve ATM capacity & efficiency in Turkish airspace & airports.   More about our simulation facilities: https://lnkd.in/dpiG8rs

Getting ready to #simulate triple-runway parallel approaches ✈️ at İGA İstanbul Airport with #DHMI colleagues from Türkiye 🇹🇷 at the #EIH EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub! 👉 This week's preparation session at the EIH for the upcoming real-time simulation supporting the redesign of the Istanbul TMA with triple-runway parallel approaches at iGA Istanbul Airport covered nominal and non-nominal cases, and involved EIH & EUROCONTROL #NM Network Manager safety team members working alongside colleagues from dhmi Devlet Hava Meydanları İşletmesi Genel Müdürlüğü, the Turkish ANSP, to prepare the scenarios for the simulation, which is scheduled for Q1 2024. The simulation is part of an agreement recently signed with DHMI to improve ATM #capacity & #efficiency in Turkish #airspace & #airports. This will be achieved through 3 parallel real-time simulation projects conducted at the EIH in Brétigny: 1️⃣ this Istanbul TMA project 2️⃣ redesigning the Antalya TMA with independent parallel runway operations over Antalya Airport 3️⃣ addressing in the Antalya Tower the same operational changes as the Antalya TMA simulation, but with a focus on assessing the impact on ground ATC operations. The joint RTCA SC-214/EUROCAE WG-78 special committee Standards for Air Traffic Data Communication Services has successfully met the European Commission's mandate ahead of schedule, developing advanced safety and performance standards for air traffic data communication services.   Revision A of the Baseline 2 ATS Data Communications standards, completed in 2016, has been operational and gathering valuable feedback.
