Celebrating Women's History Month! 👩🌟 In March, we embrace #WomensHistoryMonth by paying tribute to the remarkable women within our leadership team, whose invaluable contributions have greatly enriched our organization. Today, we celebrate An Ho, our Director of Food Science and Product Innovation. 🔬👩🔬 We asked An a few questions about her role as a leader. ♦️ How do you cultivate a strong and supportive team culture? Mixing in some fun outings or activities helps with comradery. Also, being open with each other builds a strong bond. When we express times that we are stressed, others on the team willingly help and those types of things are strongly encouraged and exemplified with each other. ♦️ How do you stay focused and productive in the face of distractions and competing priorities? Rearranging my priorities regularly is important. Sometimes people get stuck on their list of things to do and don’t derail from them. That is an organized way of practice, but you can’t get stuck on that. Priorities get shifted and you have to use judgment on what takes precedence. Self-awareness is also important so that you know what strengths you have to accomplish certain priorities and what priorities are better suited for someone else to take on. ♦️ How do you approach decision-making and problem-solving as a leader? Getting the background information on the matter is key to makes a proper assessment. If I feel that my experience and knowledge pertain to the situation, then I would feel confident in providing a solution. I would weigh in potential outcomes to various choices that I have, but be timely about it. Over-analyzing leads to no decisions being made. #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenEmpowerment #WomenLeaders #CelebratingWomen #IFPC

Celebrating Women's History Month! 👩🌟 In March, we embrace #WomensHistoryMonth by paying tribute to the remarkable women within our leadership team, whose invaluable contributions have greatly enriched our organization. Today, we celebrate Missy Gamble, our Vice President of Customer Care. 💼 We asked Missy a few questions about her role as a leader. ♦️ How do you handle difficult or underperforming team members? Difficult conversations with underperforming team members can be one of the most challenging roles of being a leader, but one of the most important for the success of that employee and the entire team. I first try to understand the team member’s perspective. Why are you struggling in this area? What else is going on? Mostly these conversations need to exclude emotion and rely just on facts and firm examples. I lay out where the performance is and where it needs to be. ♦️ How do you stay focused and productive in the face of distractions and competing priorities? There will always be urgent situations that arise, but I keep my focus by knowing my long-term goals and giving specific time and attention every week to those goals. I block out my calendar and set my email aside during these scheduled focused periods. ♦️ How do you handle stress and pressure in your role as a leader? I conscientiously take time every day for myself, and I break down every goal into smaller tasks with set completion dates. My “me” time is my morning Bible reading and my lunch-hour exercise routine. It’s amazing what a 30-minute walk with my dog can do to leave worries behind. I’ll never be as carefree as him, but he is a great example of how to love life! #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenEmpowerment #WomenLeaders #CelebratingWomen #IFPC

Women of color have long been overlooked in leadership. This lack of representation has real consequences. Without diverse leadership, workplaces often struggle with: •Authenticity in decision-making •Connection across teams •A culture of inclusivity But change is happening. Advocacy groups and mentorship circles are gaining momentum. Women of Color in Staffing is one example—founded on the belief that collaboration leads to greater impact. We’re also seeing more women of color build authentic leadership brands. They’re focusing on: •Aligning their personal brands with their values and expertise •Leading with authenticity and vulnerability •Creating connected, high-performing teams I’m SO grateful for advocates like Megan McCann (who also happens to be a very close friend) for using their platforms to amplify these voices. This conversation was a space where DeLibra Wesley and I could share our stories, highlight the importance of representation, and reflect on the progress we’re making—and the work still ahead. Representation matters. Collaboration matters. Together, we’re reshaping what leadership looks like.

Dear Sisters, In the world of business, we as women play a significant role in driving innovation and success. Our unique perspectives, skills, and qualities bring a fresh approach to problem-solving, contributing to more inclusive and sustainable business practices. Research has shown that companies with a higher representation of women in leadership positions tend to perform better financially and have higher levels of employee satisfaction. Our presence in leadership serves as an inspiration and empowerment for other women to pursue their goals and break through barriers. By being role models and mentors, we pave the way for the next generation of female leaders to thrive and succeed. Our impact goes beyond mere representation; it is about creating a society where everyone has equal opportunities to fulfill their potential. As we challenge stereotypes and embrace leadership roles, the business world becomes more diverse, innovative, and inclusive for all. I urge us to reflect on when was the last time we supported our sisters by fixing their crowns. Let's make a conscious effort this week to show up for a woman leader, peer, or subordinate in a way that fosters support and empowerment. Change may be challenging, but empathy is effortless. #WomensHistoryMonth #AFutureWithoutGlassCeilings #BetterTogether #emilysway

#Womenleaders and #aspiringleaders need to examine the role of #gratitude in their personal mission development. Often, as Chief points out, it is a disguised reaction to the #impostersyndrome, which negatively affects women more than their male counterparts. In your #leadership journey, there is actionable insight here: https://lnkd.in/eStAwMhb #ownyournarrative to succeed!

𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 I’ve worked in male-dominated industries and functions since graduating from university, and one thing has always stood out: the difference that diverse teams make. Adding female perspectives changes dynamics, fosters creativity, and improves decision-making. Now, working closely with commercial teams—areas where diversity is often limited—I’ve realized how vital it is to not only advocate for myself but also actively pull other women along. Because of these experiences, advocating for female leadership has become a cause close to my heart. It’s not just about proving to myself that women are powerful leaders, but also showing my son that women are absolute badasses. He deserves to grow up knowing that leadership and strength transcend gender, and it’s up to me to embody that. Abby Wambach’s Wolfpack resonates deeply with this experience and offers practical advice to further these efforts, find a short summary below: 🌳Lead from the Bench: Leadership isn’t about a position but about how you show up. Even when not in the spotlight, I can lead by championing diversity and creating opportunities for others. ⛹️♀️Demand the Ball: Advocating for myself means owning my voice and strengths. Wambach’s advice to step up boldly reminds me that asking for the opportunity or recognition I deserve not only empowers me but also sets a standard for others. 👯♀️Champion Each Other: Celebrating other women’s successes is key. Supporting female colleagues in traditionally male spaces creates a culture where we all thrive together. 🤕Make Failure Fuel: In challenging environments, failure can feel like a setback. But Wambach reframes it as an opportunity to grow and a natural part of leadership. 💁♀️Build the Pack: True change comes from collective effort. Whether through mentorship, collaboration, or creating inclusive spaces, I’m inspired to build a diverse pack that lifts everyone higher. These principles guide me to not only advocate for myself but also to create pathways for others, building stronger teams and reshaping dynamics in industries that need it most. #Leadership #DiversityAndInclusion #WomenInBusiness #AdvocateForWomen #Teamwork #AbbyWambach #Wolfpack #Empowerment #FailForward #BoldLeadership #FemaleLeaders #RaisingBoysRight #WomanInFinance #FemaleLeader #FinanceLeader

🌟 Stumbled upon a stat from The Female Quotient that made me pause 🌟 In the marketing and advertising world, where women make up 60% of the field, this disparity is particularly jarring. Despite our strong presence, the feedback we receive often doesn't reflect our contributions or our leadership. Navigating this dynamic has reinforced the importance of resilience, open dialogue 🗣️, and a supportive network 👭 It's vital that we challenge these biases through real conversations and push for actionable change within our organizations. 📢To all the amazing women shaping the business world: let's continue to elevate each other, share our achievements 🏆, and demand the recognition we deserve. We're not just participants; we're leaders ready to drive change 🚀 #womeninmarketing #genderinequity #advertising #leadership #womeninleadership #changemakers #equality #diversityandinclusion #empowerment #marketingexcellence
