The recent amendments to Employment Rights legislation suggests a shift in how companies handle flexible working requests. While flexibility is key in fostering a positive work environment, it's crucial that businesses do not rush into accepting all requests blindly. Companies must consider the broader impact of each request. How will they affect productivity, team dynamics, and ability to meet customer demand? By addressing these questions, businesses can proactively mitigate any potential challenges. Neville Henderson, Crown WFM's Flexible Working Consultant, addresses these concerns in our latest blog post: https://hubs.ly/Q02vtLgR0 #FlexibleWorking #WorkforceManagement

The latest challenge facing HR teams globally is the ‘return-to-office’ (RTO) debate. Since the pandemic transformed work arrangements for many, most companies are struggling to identify the best ‘remote vs. on-site’ work schedule for staff (without inhibiting the employee experience or sparking ‘turnover contagion’). So it’s critical for business leaders to navigate this issue carefully, and solicit stakeholder input before implementing any RTO mandates. #RTO #ReturnToOffice #EX #Turnover #Retention #EmployeeEngagement #EmployeeExperience #PostPandemic #VoluntaryTurnover #TurnoverContagion

In a world where teams are distributed globally, relying solely on management through monitoring is resorting to the least effective form of management, one that diminishes employee engagement. However, there is no conclusive evidence that RTO mandates enhance financial performance. The MIT Sloane Management Review highlights A recent study where executives are using Return-to-Office (RTO) mandates to regain control over employees and to attribute poor firm performance to them. These policies lead to considerable declines in employees’ job satisfaction but do not significantly impact financial performance or firm values, as the study concluded. https://lnkd.in/d9WA5fy3 #hybrid #Employeeengagement #RTO
