🌍 Reaching the EU’s Net Zero targets by 2030 will require conscious actions, knowledge, and learning. SEMPRE-BIO PROJECT’s eagerness to promote new projects that focus on building a decarbonized future is essential for achieving these goals. 💡 The following blog introduces five questions that should be asked about biomethane, explaining its importance in society, the way it is produced and its connection to sustainability, as well as how supply chains need to align to current EU regulation. 🔗 The purpose of this blog is to create awareness, foster meaningful conversation, and bring in engagement of current energy industry players and stakeholders. 💡Why the importance of carbon utilisation?💡   Primarily, because “utilisation” is the key to creating an ecosystem with CO2 as the core ingredient when creating e-fuels, such as methanol♻️   Green technologies - such as ours - are already based upon the storage and utilisation of CO2 and thus make us able to move on from the 2050 goal of getting to NetZero and going to climate positive. This is the future, but the technology is already there.   At Blue World, we are working with HT PEM fuel cells for methanol, hence carbon utilisation is a core part of the ecosystem of our technology.   And Blue World Technologies is not the only Danish company with this mindset. neustark is a carbon capture, storage and permanent removal solutions provider based in Switzerland and the company’s plan involves the development of twenty new storage sites, spread throughout Europe and the UK. These sites will be built during 2024 and alongside this the company has started a Series B funding call. This new expansion aligns with the company’s mission, which focuses on addressing an extremely pressing need for scalable and permanent carbon dioxide removal (CDR) solutions. These solutions are in high demand, as the need to tackle and handle the hard-to-abate carbon emissions is rapidly becoming a high priority. This carbon sector is of such high priority because it is a sector which is not able to be reduced through current methods of decarbonisation, so it is slowing down the global drive towards deep decarbonisation.
