We were very disappointed to have missed this event by National Guardian's Office but here is a great summary for those, like us, who are obsessed with everything to do with #speakup culture. So many of these points resonate.
The three biggies for us are:
1 - Psychological safety. Without it there is zero speakup culture to talk about. Start with #PsychologicalSafety and then move to #speakupculture
2 - LISTEN! Building feedback loops, or if you are on top if this stuff, and have put in place thoughtful and nuances #speakupchannels, the next thing you must do is listen and acknowledge what you heard. So that is, listen and then communicate
3 - One of the ones that is missing from the illustration is Comms. How you communicate your speakup goals, aims, channels, policies, etc is ALL about Communication. Nobody successfully built a speakup culture and performance anchored in trust and equity, without exceptional comms people! We salute all the comms people at our client partners 🖖
We hope to be at the next event!
#ThrowbackThursday to two weeks ago and our annual Freedom to Speak Up Conference.
Thank you to Sonia (sparkles) Webb for encapsulating the wide ranging discussions, and to all the speakers who sparked so many conversations about the part we can all play in encouraging a Speak Up culture.
Let's keep these conversations going and continue #BreakingFTSUbarriers
