It’s a great start to #TechThursday - We’ve reached another major milestone! We have successfully completed Phase 1 testing with our partners at the Net Zero Technology Centre and City, University of London to test Innovatium designed liquid air-to-power conversion system as a ‘bolt-on’ to our PRISMA liquid air storage technology. This project builds on our extensive experience designing compressors and turbines. So, it was a natural step for us to meet the challenge of converting liquid air to electricity by designing a custom machine that is both an air compressor and an air turbine. The result is a system that is able to charge - and discharge - using a single bidirectional stage. Why does this matter? Because this approach will be more cost efficient than conventional dual machine systems.   #PRISMA #Teamwork #EnergyStorage #Compressors #Decarbonisation #NetZero

Nice work team Inno & friends. You’re gonna get us all to Net Zero just a bit sooner than planned. I’m sure of it. 😉. 💚.
