We continue to see both states and the wholesale channel attack and make it harder for consumers to buy direct and producers and other sellers of products in the beverage alcohol business to sell, if you truly want to help educate and not just grumble about how things should modernize, you should sign up with the Craft Wine Association and support their educational efforts. No one else is doing this to help our industry.   If you sit idly just watching, it will be too late. My brothers and I grew up in the beer business with the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company in Chippewa Falls, WI. One of the lines that my brother, John, and I share is that there really aren't any new ideas in the beer business. I can think of a couple. Miller Lite repositioning a diet beer that they bought from Meister Brau to market it to thirsty beer guzzling men via their "Great Taste. Less Filling." campaign is one. Another is a wave of innovators like Ken Grossman, Pete Slosberg, Jim Koch, Kurt and Rob Widmer, and Paul Shipman brewing and selling "micro" beers that were different in flavor profiles from the mostly pale yellow, fizzy lagers of the 80's. Microbrewing later became today's craft beer business. One of my favorite beers in our parent company's (Miller Brewing Company) portfolio was Miller Genuine Draft. Its "Get Out of the Old, Get into the Cold" advertising campaign was iconic featuring great rock-n-roll soundtracks and scenes that showed MGD cooling down any hot situation. https://lnkd.in/d-F_g4bk This Super Bowl, Coors Light returns with its "Chill Train". I can't help but notice the similarities to MGD's campaign over 34 years ago. I was in San Francisco this week leading an immersion, and I have to give a heartfelt shout out to several of the operators who offered some of the best hospitality I have experienced recently. Teresa and Joseph Ahearne at El Porteno Empanadas proofed decisively that hospitality is not owned by fine dining or even full service (not to mention their empanadas are to die for). The staff at Tartine Bakery Manufactory went out of their way during a busy time. And Michael Aldridge and the staff at Wildseed embodied hospitality by quietly and professionally anticipating needs, shifting to accommodate changing needs, and making us feel incredibly welcome. 4. If you're wondering what's new in the animal protein space, feast your eyes and your professional curiosity on the first 3-D printed octopus alternative, The Kraken (great name). I'm still of the opinion there are greater opportunities for these types of alternatives with seafood than with other proteins, but there's such a tension between 3-D printing and the amount of processing required versus the demand for more natural, whole ingredient solutions. Making your own whiskey at home just became legal. Yes, you heard me right. A federal judge in Texas has declared a 156-year-old ban on at-home distilling unconstitutional. The case is Hobby Distillers Association v. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, No. 4:23-cv-01221. Key points: → The ban was found to exceed Congress's taxing power → It also violates the U.S. Constitution's Commerce Clause → A permanent injunction bars enforcement against the association's members The ruling is stayed for 14 days pending potential appeal. This decision could be a game-changer for hobbyists looking to legally produce whiskey and bourbon at home. The judge argued the ban: → Doesn't raise revenue, so it's not a valid exercise of taxing power → Can't be sustained under Congress' power to regulate interstate commerce Is at home distilling going to be the next big trend?

But it’s common knowledge that there is no butter in butter pecan (it’s ice cream- though a strong argument could be made that cream is in it , the foundation for butter (whipped and salted cream)) - butter refers to the buttery taste and texture: And it does taste like butter or buttery. It also has a buttery aroma… see also- free speech… And , of course, there are real pistachios in it- it’s pistachio ice cream ( See the nutrition facts: “Pistachio . . . ‘Natural’ flavors . . . “) listed as the first ingredient: the name of the product….. but even if it doesn’t - it’s ice cream - it’s candy…. And you state yourself - that the nutrition disclosures are obviously and publicly available: that they told you from the start whether or not there were pistachios in it- you agreed to no pistachios. And - if there are pistachios, you admit no damages, in fact you say that makes you better off. Absurd. Which is it: correct- you’re the complainant - which is it… : Not completely clear whether you claim it states there’s pistachios in it , or that it doesn’t…. Which is it, complaintant…. The complaintant sounds lonely-
