Discover more than meets the eye using Hyperspectral Imaging. #computervision solutions are still fragile. Changes in context and unfamiliar perspectives challenge even the most sophisticated algorithms. Software alone can only take you so far, and conventional sensor hardware is insufficient to solve reliable machine perception. #hyperspectral #imaging technology enables advanced computer vision performance unlocking continuous real-time sensing limitations. Living Optics is developing proprietary, cutting-edge technologies for lightweight, real-time, hyperspectral sensing, capable of delivering the data needed for next generation use cases. Hyperspectral imaging can be used for a variety of day-to-day applications improving user’s ability to detect, identify, segment, and track spectral signatures, both known and unknown. #hyperspectralimaging ;

Did you know Aristotle and Mozi philosophers shared a groundbreaking insight? 🧐 Beyond having lived in the same era, these brilliant minds were among the first to discuss the camera obscura—a precursor to modern cameras and the simplest form of lens out there! Fast forward to today: the evolution of optics saw engineers leveraging glass for lenses due to its stability and ubiquity. While automatic focus tunable lenses based on glass are powerful, they are also bulky and power hungry, limiting their use. But innovation didn’t stop there. Inspired by the human eye's simplicity and efficiency, 2008 welcomed the revolutionary tunable liquid lenses. 🚀 Why liquid lenses? They are ✨ Ultra-fast ✨ Compact & light ✨ Reliable also in harsh conditions From Machine Vision and Imaging to Medical Devices and Laser Processing, or CCM modules, their impact is vast and game-changing. Curious to explore more? Setting aside the dystopian implications for a moment, I think that positive scenarios for this kind of technology exist: One example would be implants that can detect growing deviations compared to your physical baselines would be extremely useful (usually called Biomonitors in sci-fi). https://lnkd.in/eejVdkga

🗣️"The brain is responsible for observing, processing and making sense of the raw image 'data' sent from the outside world through the eyes," says Giuseppe Contini, one of our imaging experts, explaining his quote: Take a sandwich, for example. Your eyes capture the scene in front of you and your brain recognizes the sandwich on the table and decides to take the information and send instructions to your arm to grab it. This is very similar to computer vision: cameras as cameras/sensors collect photons and 'see' an image. The processor and software then set about understanding the image, much like your brain. 🌍The world of semiconductors acts very similar to the real world. Can you think of another way to connect? #FRAMOS #semiconductors #imaging #software
