🌟 Are you curious about the future of #microfluidics and how it's transforming precision analytical tools in industries like pharmaceuticals and biomedicine? Discover the project #MFMET, in which INESC Microssistemas e Nanotecnologias participates. The project focuses on testing and metrology strategies to ensure measurement accuracy and traceability of microfluidic devices. 🌐INESC Microssistemas e Nanotecnologias is an external partner of the consortium with 15 partners, and is leading WP1 for the establishment of consensus-based flow control specifications for microfluidics. INESC Microssistemas e Nanotecnologias is deeply involved in defining protocols, guidelines, and standards for microfluidics, especially in Flow Control; Interfaces and Connectivity; and Modularity and Sensor Integration. 🔬Microfluidics is booming in diverse sectors, but the lack of universal solutions and standards is a challenge. #MFMET aims to contribute to developing globally accepted standards, benefiting industries, academia, and, ultimately, you. Have a look at the project's 🔹 website: https://mfmet.eu. The EMPIR initiative is co-funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the EMPIR Participating States #TogetherWeInnovate #INESC

In the image we see a beautiful microfluidic electroosmotic pump developed at INESC Microssistemas e Nanotecnologias which serves as a #transfer #standard for flow rate down to 5 nL/min. It is based on a #standard size of a microscope slide and has #standard position of fluidic ports and electrical contacts.
