One year ago, Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC set out on an ambitious journey. Their goals: Reduce their costs, eliminate their time spent waiting on parts, and add visibility, controls, and automations into their entire parts ordering process. So how'd they do? Their first-year results speak for themselves: —FASTER RESPONSES: Time to get parts quotes back from their vendors went from 2 DAYS to 24 MINUTES ⚡ —FASTER FULFILLMENT: Time spent waiting on parts to get to the machine dropped from 1 WEEK to 1 DAY, from request to fulfilled ⏰ —COSTS SAVED: $215K saved in parts spend alone 🤯 🤯 🤯 And they’re not done there. Ajax’s fleet team is now in a position to use their real-time parts purchasing insights to make smarter, more sustainable inventory, equipment lifecycle, and budget decisions … … Which means more margin + profit potential for their entire org. 💪 This ^^^ is what the impact of the fleet team of the future looks like. Like Ajax, are these goals sounding good to you? Let’s talk! http://bit.ly/4d6AbHr cc: Andy DeCraene Dan Maitland David Reed, EMS

In recent years, there has been a significant shift in economic strategy within the United States, focusing on revitalizing the manufacturing sector and investing in workforce training. The plumbing industry is a prime example of this growing trend, with many manufacturers recently announcing manufacturing expansions and the opening of strategically placed learning centers. This reinvestment is seen as a crucial step toward restoring the nation's industrial strength, ensuring economic stability, and maintaining global competitiveness. PM Engineer Chief Editor Nicole Krawcke and Supply House Times Editor Natalie Forster sat down with several industry manufacturers to discuss their efforts, including Andres Caballero, president of Uponor North America, Mark Hudoba, vice president of building solutions division for REHAU, and Marki Huston, COO of Viega LLC. Through meticulous guidance and insightful expertise, I empower companies to surpass their goals and unlock new realms of achievement. All opions are my own
How are lamination operation in the WINDY City? let's add Indy with that. Topping the list of laminators that produce greatness lets go to LBP. Now Sabert. This plant has three high performing laminators /singlefacers and runs the lightest paper stocks on earth. This lamination opps was envisioned and started by yours truly with a lot of expert help from within. The great Barry Silver spared not expense in putting together a giant that produces 50% of today's Mcdonald's clamshells and 100% of the US coffee sleeves. This plant has the greatest operators on the plant and that includes the super stars on the Flatbed Bobst die cutters. This plant is elevated not by its leadership team , thats hardly the case this team gathers its mojo from within with operators that have an average of ten years on the job. facts be known the leadership at Sabert is far more novice than most operations and really let the operators carry the important load. The teams are just that good. The bosses have an easy job riding the coat tails of all the hardworking operators at this world class plant. Coming in a distant number two is Hood container. They get the most they can out of the old MPC 3 and the maintenance team is led by great management. Coming in number three is a plant in indy that simply has not been able to find that knock it out of the park success. facts be known there has been a real lack of urgency and direction, On my last visit to this plant i saw sodas and energy drinks along with operators vaping. Not sure this is how you build winners, but they thought it was. Next stop the great state of Pennsylvania where laminators are popping up in all places.

School Foodservice Strategist I Empowering Change Through Training & Insights I Host of 5-in-20 Podcast
I was thrilled to join Welbilt Inc. University in New Port Richey, Florida, this week. There was so much valuable information equipment brands such as Convotherm, Delfield, Garland, Metro, Multiplex, and Merco, among others. In the past, I was all about sticking to one brand for a specific type of equipment, like how we usually do with cars. It was like a once-a-GM, always-a-GM mentality. However, I continue to realize how limiting that mindset is with kitchen equipment. The truth is, they are constantly evolving with technological advancements, functionality, and design. As our operations and needs change, so must our perspective on which tools best serve us. What was considered the perfect piece of equipment last year may no longer be the best choice. A better model, or even a different manufacturer, could now be the ideal fit for your operation today. The advancing equipment landscape and operations' changing needs necessitate a flexible and adaptable approach to selection. Peel back the onion for equipment success = Dive deeper, one step and one feature at a time, each leading to a new discovery. The result is a diverse portfolio of equipment what works for you making everyone's job easier. #OpenMindset #EquipmentDiversity #FlexibleThinking #SchoolFoodservice #ProgressiveOperations

Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC took a chance. We partnered with a relatively-new tech company to improve how we order parts for our fleet. We also took a chance by asking our vendors to change how they interact with us (most of them would go on to thank us), and thus we changed the game. ⚙️ Gearflow Visibility, controls, price-shopping, and making Inventory Manager’s (David Reed, EMS ) life easier. These are the first things that come to mind. Hit me up in the messages or comments if you want to know more about improving your parts procurement process. Come see what Ajax and other great companies are doing at Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) #pavingtheway #inventorymanagement #parts
Not long ago, Dan Maitland, fleet manager at Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC, was faced with questions he couldn't answer. When it came to their parts process for their 750 heavy equipment assets, Dan and his fleet team were operating in the dark. 🤔 Why did they have duplicate parts orders? ❌ Who's responsible for the wrong order that arrived in the shop? 💰 Why was spend so high this month on a certain machine? It was anyone's best guess. Without visibility into their parts ordering across their 40+ vendors, the fleet team's value they could provide back to their org's success was limited. “As a fleet, we want to be predictable with our costs because we have a set budget,” Dan says. “If we're hitting our budget, that means our estimators are hitting their margins — and can secure more jobs.” So Dan set out to shed light on their 250 monthly parts orders to identify the ways they could better drive uptime and control costs ... before things go off track. Find out how Dan and his fleet team uncovered the opportunities for growth hidden in a parts process once shrouded in chaos and costs, evolving into strategic decision makers who are paving the way for Ajax to make more money and win more jobs. Could you be the next Dan? https://lnkd.in/gyavycVB
