Operation Backpack is a supply drive that benefits IPS students. This drive is run by Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana and hosted at several local drop-off points. Patrons can help out by bringing supplies such as backpacks, pencils, crayons, notebooks, and more to one of the five IndyPL locations with donation bins! These locations are Central Library, Eagle Branch, Glendale Branch, Irvington Branch, and West Indianapolis Branch. WMAR-TV in Baltimore featured our decommission project for MOI, with a great message: Don’t dump, donate. MOI is remodeling its roughly 13,000 square foot showroom and wanted to be sure all the wonderful furniture stayed out of landfill. Some of it went to employees, some of it was sold, and multiple truck loads of desks, chairs, tables, sofas, cabinets and more were donated to eight different nonprofits and community groups. Keeping furniture in circulation helps the environment and the community, allowing everyone to thrive. FLASH CONTESTS are an important strategy we use at The Shelby American Collection to build buzz and attract more donors to our annual sweepstakes. ⚡ Right now, we're running a sweepstakes for a Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition. Between now and March 3rd, everyone who enters will ALSO be entered to win a trip to Las Vegas, where they will have the opportunity to drive a GT500 on the track at Speed Vegas. We talk so much about how people are lazy processors, effort averse, etc. etc. But what is also true is that, assuming they have the capacity to do so, people love to create. To generate. To put something new into the world. So, to broaden a discussion in an area where Ian Norris is working - what if instead of nudging consumption, we starting nudging creation?
