Fridays’ thought. Great pit stops win races, lousy pit stops lose races. What happens when the pit crew comes together determines the outcome of the race. Our research shows that what happens when your team come together determines the success of your growth plans and initiatives. Something to think about. RDs, what calendars do you put your races on? If you are in the tri-state area, there really is no great option, either they are outdated, scraped and could be filled with wrong info, or contained to a race club/timing company/registration website. We are trying to offer another option. SRS has a race calendar open to all races in the NY/NJ/CT/PA/MA Region, even if we don't time/manage them. We have been in the running community for more than 40 years and we love it here. We are grateful to be a part of this little corner of the world and want to give more options to the runners we serve, while fostering a sense of community among the many small town races that exist in our area. If your an RD come add your race to our calendar, and even get put on our RD mailing list so you know what we are up to https://lnkd.in/e7SQRs-8 If your a runner, check on it regularly and you can even join our mailing list so you never miss a thing.

Struggling to pick the top contenders in the upcoming race at Tamworth? Here's a tip that might just give you the edge. Many people focus broadly on racing tips, but they often miss out on honing in on the front-runners that have the highest potential. In this race at Tamworth, the scooters one, two, and three are more than likely to be your top picks. Simply betting randomly or not paying attention to the likely winners can be a costly mistake. Instead, zero in on scooters one, two, and three; they're poised to be the top performers in this specific race. Stay ahead and make smarter choices, or you might find yourself continually losing out to those who do their homework.

I love how this article that our DCI team placed ties in a well-known sports entity and how its investment in a city can impact an entire economy by attracting complementary industries, residents and visitors. A tri-fecta of place marketing success. We know that sports tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors in attracting leisure visitors, and we also know through Development Counsellors International's proprietary research that a potential workforce likes to visit a place first before relocation. So here's a quick tip when it comes to #talentattraction marketing: If you want to elevate your region as a great place to live and do business, don't be afraid to leverage the brand reputation of your sports teams and the development they bring to your economy. It's a winning combination. (Also...if I was more sports inclined I'd probably have a better pun... please don't tell my husband, who played college baseball, how woefully ignorant I am with these types of analogies:) #econdev #economicdevelopment
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is gearing up for the 108th Indy 500 this weekend, but beyond the track is a town with a life of its own. In Speedway, Indiana, the community proudly embraces its racing legacy. With residents opening their doors to race fans and the development of new projects to accommodate visitors, Speedway eagerly welcomes the over 350,000 visitors drawn by the race each year. Check out this story that our DCI team placed in Forbes by Jeffrey Steele to learn more about Speedway's growth, racing history and community. https://lnkd.in/ehnShm6v

Digital Transformation Executive and Senior Advisor | Accenture Managing Director (Retired) | Andersen Consulting Partner | Ultra Endurance Athlete
I'm back in Tennessee this week to participate in The Last Annual Heart of the South road race for the 3rd time. The race director sent a great summary to a prospective participant last week. For me the uncertainty is the draw and like anything, if success was guaranteed, what would be the point in trying. Here is the summary: "I got an email last week, a multi day runner interested in the possibility of a last minute entry in to the HOTS.... Here is my response....was I encouraging enuff???? -------- we do have room. before I encourage you to run and sign up... are you familiar with the format? i.e. we all meet at the finishline next wednesday morning, we drive you to a start point and give you a GPS route to follow along highways and byways....back to the finish. you are just a pedestrian journey runner....responsible for your own safety and self sufficiency. the roads are hazardous, especially when you are exhausted. there is no set aid, just what you find at stores and motels along the way. gaps between supplies can be lengthy (if you pass thru when they are closed it can mean a whole day with only what's in your pack!) If you drop, we will pick you up within a day or so and get you to the finish at our earliest convenience. we typically consider HOTS to be an advanced multi day runner's race, for those with journey running experience (long distance running on roads between cities without course markings or aid stations). but we do accept newcomers to the format, so long as you feel equipped for the challenge. most of our runners consider it to be one of the most, if not *the* most, adventurous ultra they ever do... even though it is almost entirely on paved roads! This year's route is ~381 miles, and we'll allow 10.5 days. let me know if you have any questions, and if you go ahead and register for the wait list, i will send you an invite as soon as I see it. peace, carl (So far, they have not registered, I guess I didn't sell it...)" - Carl Laniak

One of the many projects I was involved in, with MSS Safety in 2023.
As we approach the end of the year, we’re sharing some of the projects we proudly supported in 2023 and as the Autumn approached our friends at Red Bull kept us busy again doing cool stuff! As always they invited us along to provide the Production Safety, Rescue and Medical cover behind the scenes, whilst Mad Mike Whiddett showed how a race car could beat the best time set by a Mountain Bike down the #RedBullHardline course in a very wet Wales!
