What do those plastic recycling numbers mean? They indicate what type of plastic it's made out of, not if it's recyclable in your area. While #1 and #2 plastics are relatively easy to recycle, many of the other types of plastic we use are difficult (if not impossible) to recycle through our curbside systems, so they often end up in landfills instead. In addition, not every municipality can handle every type, so pay attention to what's recyclable in your area. Save this post for reference and tag a friend that would benefit from this info. When in doubt remember: refuse, reduce, reuse, and THEN recycle! ♻️🌎 #plasticfreejuly
