It was a real honor for me to have given a talk at DEFCON's Bug Bounty Village in Las Vegas 🙏 I introduced the community to the key distinctions of Web3 bug bounty hunting, and how web3 and blockchain actually provide more assurances to whitehats 🤝 I also showcased insane hacks, hacker messages, and legendary +$1M bug bounties. The large majority of people didn't have a web3 background, but I think overall people enjoyed the presentation. There were even people sitting on the floor, and a line of researchers gathered to meet me afterwards and ask for web3 security learning resources 👀 I do believe there still is quite a lot of dormant bugs in critical blockchain infrastructure, especially in blockchain assets. Bringing these new traditional security researchers to our space can surface those vulnerabilities and help us secure the foundations of the crypto world.
