Tickets are now available for an Evidence-Based Decision Making Masterclass I am delivering alongside Eric Barends in jut two weeks time, in partnership with PeakCare Queensland, Centre for Excellence in Child & Family Welfare, Association of Children's Welfare Agencies and OzChild. Evidence-based decision making is not beyond our abilities and most importantly we already do it in everyday life whenever we try to make a more informed decision about anything in our daily lives. In our work lives we tend to adopt something like an evidence-based practice approach but it can be difficult because it requires more effort and more time than just doing the doing. It's also difficult because we may not like the answers, we find it can challenge our own biases about what that decision will now mean and what might be effective interventions that we are uncomfortable to try. But, it is worth doing as it helps us identify the most important problems and opportunities. If you think evidence-based decision making could make a tangible difference to your work, your organisation and to the lives and experiences of our clients, then I encourage you to join me in Syndey, Brisbane or Melbourne this October!
