What do you do to get started on your work and keep going when you really don't feel like it? Man, I have to be honest; today I've had to belly crawl to my desk. Sometimes the mind and body just says, "Not today." But I'm alive, and grateful to be here with you. This time, I'm hoping for your contribution. What do YOU do to keep moving forward when your body and mind just aren't interested? Your input could be just what someone reading this (me?) needs. For me, it's three things: 1. Find things I'm grateful for, contrasting them against much, much worse alternatives. 2. Read The Persistent Decision, one of the seven decisions and affirmations in the book The Traveler's Gift by Andy Andrews. 3. Listen to music that brings me to happy tears. 4. Walk in nature with my dogs. You?

‘Living the dream’ 💭 There's no doubt there are pros and cons of being a small business owner. Reality is always different from Expectations… Either way, I love and enjoy the freedom & flexibility of working for myself! Definitely more pros than cons, the fact I can wear whatever I want and work from any location whenever I want is a true blessing! ✨ I consistently practice gratitude and manifesting! As I believe it is important to appreciate and be grateful for what you have & where you are in life. As we get closer to bringing the curtains down on 2023 and with hopeful eyes look forward to the new year it might be a good idea to reflect and be grateful for how far we have come along our journey and explore ways to contribute to those of others: Something along the lines of the following may be useful to get started: 1. Goals achieved/ progress made toward long-term goals 2. No. of really memorable meals/outings with friends and family 3. No. healthy days spent during the year 4. Time spent reading your favorite book/watching your favorite show/ movie etc. 5. No of times you helped a friend/ someone random in need 6. No of times you received help from someone out of the blue While the resolution fever kicks in a few weeks to catapult us to more meaningful and challenging endeavors, can explore starting with being thankful for where we are in our journey. 😀
