The power of tourism industry in the path for economic recovery

Uzbekistan has been ranked fourth in the list of 20 rapidly developing countries in the field of tourism published by UN World Tourism Organization. According to official data, published by "Sado," a Saudi newspaper, the average stay of tourists in Uzbekistan is 4-5 days. This has increased by 1.5 times compared to 2019 (2-3 days). In 2017, each foreign tourist spent an average of $197 in the country. This indicator has reached $400 in 2023, and the amount of income from the tourism industry during the 9 months of 2023 was $1.72 billion. #Uzbekistan

Tourism in Africa is on Track to Recover Pre-pandemic Levels in 2024 Some 66.4 million international visitor arrivals were counted for Africa in 2023, edging closer to 2019’s pre-pandemic figure of 69.1 million. That was driven by “robust demand” from European markets, says UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). An estimated 39.6 million international tourists visited destinations in sub-Saharan Africa in 2023, equivalent to a roughly 90% recovery from 2019.
