A few observations from a Cassette perspective on learnings from #mobileworldcongress2024
Now we've had time to digest and reflect on what we saw recently at Mobile World Congress & 4YFN 2024, we wanted to share a summary of our thoughts. We identified four themes - ultra connectivity, "no more apps", tackling healthcare hurdles, and responsibility by design. Here's our take on each: 1. 5G promises faster speeds, higher capacity, lower latency, and better connectivity for various devices. Combined with APIs linking data and services, and AI enabling personalized experiences, 5G enables hyper-connectivity through the three AAAs: Access via localized 5G networks, APIs interconnecting data and services, and AI integration. 2. Large Language Models (LLMs) analyze user data to create personalised features, making traditional apps obsolete. By tailoring functionalities to individual needs, LLMs offer a superior, continuously evolving software experience. This shift toward self-modifying software ensures relevance and adaptability, shaping the future of digital interaction. 3. As the population ages, healthcare demands increase while there is a shortage of healthcare professionals. Advancements in technology now enable wearable diagnostics, AI-driven diagnosis, and immersive training/communication. These advanced technologies offer a viable solution to improve healthcare efficiency and speed. 4. Trust is the main obstacle to adopting technology, due to concerns over its impact on our lives and humanity. However, technology itself is not inherently good or bad - it's how we design, build, and use it that determines its outcomes. If you want to talk more about our time at the events and what we predict the next few months of technology innovations will look like, let us know. #MWCinsights #events #technologyinnovation

Technology Exec | Strategy, Innovation, Project Delivery, | I help the c-suite maximize value through data & digital Innovation. $65M in proven efficiencies with transformation, AI, data management & value creation
AI at the Forefront, a summary for CXOs, as we enter the app-less era At this year's Mobile World Congress, the integration of AI into consumer technology was unmistakably the centerpiece, mirroring its prominence at CES. The influx of AI across products prompts a critical examination: what developments genuinely merit excitement, which raise concerns, and what might be passing trends? CCS Insight's Ben Wood encapsulated the sentiment as "omnipresent...but also overwhelming," hinting at the potential onset of AI fatigue among attendees. However, a more encouraging perspective emerged from companies demonstrating AI's tangible benefits, moving beyond mere "AI-ready" claims. This year, the evolution from concept to reality was evident, especially in "on-device AI," enabling direct, impactful experiences with technology, from smartphones to cars and novel AI-centric wearables and robots. The implication? AI isn't a distant future; it's reshaping our technological choices today. The essence of AI's impact, however, transcends mere enhancements to existing devices. Qualcomm's tech, for instance, fuels the vision for an "appless" phone interface, illustrating AI's potential to revolutionize our interaction paradigms. Such innovation extends to the prospect of replacing phones with new technology forms, driven by AI's ability to facilitate more natural interactions through gestures, voice, and vision. Notably, AI is not just about transforming personal devices but also about redefining public interaction through platforms like Stella AI. This robot, equipped with advanced AI models, signifies a shift towards more sophisticated, human-like interactions in service settings. In summary, MWC 2024 stands as a pivotal moment for AI in connected devices, setting the stage for a future where AI not only enhances but fundamentally changes our technological interactions. For CXOs, the message is clear: the AI revolution in consumer tech is not just coming; it's already here, heralding a new era of innovation and experience. #AI #DigitalTransformation #MWC2024 #Leadership #Innovation #futureofmobile https://lnkd.in/g7XY3aSj
