𝟲 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 ❗️❗️ Consider a REPOST if it is Useful - - - Here's a straightforward look at six software architectural patterns that are cornerstones in the realm of development. 🟠 Monolithic: This is the all-in-one approach where an application is built as a single unit. Easy to get started with, but as it grows, scaling and updating can be tough. 🟠 Layered: Also known as n-tier architecture, it separates concerns across multiple layers, such as presentation and data access. A common choice that offers organization, but be wary of creating a too-rigid structure. 🟠 Master-Slave: A system where the master component distributes work among identical slave components and computes a final result from the slaves' results. Efficient for load balancing but requires careful handling of the master component. 🟠 Event-Driven: This setup thrives on events. Components act upon and react to events, providing high responsiveness and flexibility. However, managing event flow can be complex. 🟠 MVC (Model-View-Controller): It divides the application into three interconnected components, enabling efficient separation of concerns, which is great for collaborative development. 🟠 Microservice: Think of it as dividing a large application into small, independent services. It's excellent for scaling and continuous deployment but comes with the overhead of managing multiple services. Each pattern offers its blueprint for tackling project challenges. As a developer, mastering these patterns means you're equipped to build robust, scalable, and maintainable systems. What's your preferred architectural pattern? Today, I aim to delve into a topic of utmost significance - raising awareness about employment opportunities in the domains of cloud computing and DevOps : - The current landscape of the Cloud and DevOps job market is exceedingly tumultuous, characterized by a dearth of opportunities and heightened competition, even for entry-level positions, where requisites demand 1-3 years of prior experience, exacerbating the challenge for aspirants. The recent phenomenon of a staggering 90% decline in job openings within the past month further compounds the predicament. However, amidst this adversity, there exists a pathway to seize elusive opportunities: 1. Undertake the arduous task of crafting bespoke projects, eschewing the temptation of mere replication from ubiquitous online tutorials. Originality and ingenuity are paramount in showcasing prowess. 2. Acquire 1-2 certifications, a pivotal step given that a substantial majority—approximately 67%—of job postings stipulate certification as a prerequisite. Such credentials serve as tangible validation of proficiency. 3. Adopt a proactive stance in the job hunt, eschewing passivity and embracing any viable avenues, be it contractual engagements, internships, or support roles, without succumbing to the allure of waiting for ideal circumstances. 4. Pivot from the conventional strategy of incessantly badgering recruiters and instead cultivate relationships with seasoned professionals—Senior Engineers, Vice Presidents, Directors—leveraging their networks and insights to navigate the labyrinth of job acquisition. Should you find yourself in the capacity of a hiring authority or possess connections within the industry, your insights or opportunities would be invaluable contributions to those navigating this formidable terrain. So please it's a humble request to go through the above mentioned tips , and apply it on your daily life to achive the good opportunity. And if you find this helpful please make sure to send to your loved ones 🙏 #aws #cloud #cloudcomputing #azure #devops #technology #python #amazonwebservices #linux #amazon #programming #awscloud #cybersecurity #coding #googlecloud #developer #kubernetes #bigdata #datascience #microsoft #machinelearning #software #java #tech #it #gcp #awstraining #javascript #security #docker #awareness #cloudawareness

How to measure the return on investment of code quality initiatives? Measuring the return on investment (ROI) of code quality initiatives is crucial for demonstrating the tangible benefits these efforts bring to software development. Here are key metrics and approaches to help quantify the impact: Defect Reduction: Evaluate the number of defects before and after code quality improvements. Code Review Metrics: Assess the effectiveness of code reviews by measuring time spent, issues identified, and resolved. Code Analyze: Analyze how often code is modified post-initial development. High code churn may indicate instability; reducing it leads to a more stable codebase. Cycle Time: Measure the time it takes to develop, test, and deploy features or bug fixes. Technical Debt Reduction: Evaluate the decrease in technical debt over time. Reducing technical debt enhances code maintainability, leading to long-term savings. Automated Testing Coverage: Track the percentage of code covered by automated tests. Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction metrics. Productivity Improvement: Assess the impact on developer productivity. Reduced time spent on debugging, improved collaboration, and decreased context switching contribute to increased efficiency. Security Improvements: Evaluate the impact on security. Code quality initiatives often address security vulnerabilities, preventing breaches and safeguarding the organization's reputation. Code Complexity: Measure code complexity using metrics like cyclomatic complexity. Lower complexity improves maintainability and reduces the risk of introducing bugs. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗢𝗽𝘀: Recently, while hiring for Cloud and DevOps role, I noticed 70% of candidates had the same LinkedIn tagline: "𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 | 𝗔𝗪𝗦 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 | 𝗖𝗜/𝗖𝗗 | 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀 | 𝗞𝟴𝘀 | 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗢𝗽𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁" However, many struggled with basic Linux questions, difference between ALB vs NLB, and simple differences like ENTRYPOINT vs CMD. It’s clear that watching YouTube tutorials and adding them to your resume won’t cut it. You need to actually understand the basics, like chmod, ssh, and dig. Here are some solutions: 🔹 Specialise or Generalise: Pick a niche like GitOps/Kubernetes and master it, or learn a broad range of skills and be a knowledgeable generalist. 🔹 Be Realistic: Replace flashy taglines with something truthful and specific, like: "𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱/𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗢𝗽𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗴𝗼𝗖𝗗 | 𝗔𝗪𝗦 | 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗢𝗽𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 | 𝟮𝘅 𝗔𝗪𝗦 | 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺" 🔹 Focus on Basics: Honesty is key. Overpromising and underdelivering will only lead to rejections. Follow Mohamed Abukar for the latest updates on tech, devops and software engineering! 🙏 #linkedin #reality #devops

Unemployed Day #10 as a Sr. Software Engineer with... my daily post. It's Good Friday, no matter what is going on in the world, I'm reminded that worrying does not add a moment to my life. Instead, we charge on despite receiving automated rejections on applications due to amount of candidates per submission. I refuse to let that get me down. It's why I spent time on what I wanted today, Containers and Orchestration through two A Cloud Guru (Pluralsight) courses: Beginner's Guide to Containers and Orchestration & Essential Container Concepts. Essentials really got deeper than I anticipated for 6 hours with multiple labs. I went through history of containers, chroot, Linux namespaces, network namespace, control groups (cgroups), installation and usage of LXC/LXD (Linux containers & daemon), and some basic installation/usage/labs with Docker, Docker Swarm, & Kubernetes! It was a lot to take in, but I also spent a lot of time in the cloud server terminal and it was really cool to get to actually create Linux containers and have a proper strong 6 hr foundation before I get into Docker & Kubernetes Quick Starts and Deeper Dives. I do want to get my Docker & Kubernetes certifications. I do want to be considered capable to do DevOps despite being a UI Engineer with Backend experience. Especially as I get into AWS. Coverage of progress on all 5 parts of my strategic plan: 1) Unfortunately, no updates. 2) Data Structures & Algorithms: only 1 done today. 3) A Cloud Guru DevOps/Containers track! Combined over 7 HRs worth of content today completed with notes, labs, & taking a lot in and exercising it in cloud servers. 4) UI - none today 5) Web Development with Golang less than planned due to essential container concepts. Week 2 at it's end as I search for my next role I'm feeling the weight of everything. However, I refuse to let those who doubt my abilities limit my growth and will continue to charge forward! Thank you for your support through reactions, comments, & reposts. It has a tremendous positive impact on me, truly, I appreciate the engagement. #tech #techcareer #unemployment #growthmindset #unemployed #softwareengineering #devops #frontendengineer #backendengineer #softwaredevelopment #python #typescript #golang #docker #developerproductivity #developer #selfimprovement #fightforprogress #progression #careerdevelopment #relentlessprogrammer
