Less stress, more power – also for #wind #turbines. Our colleague Axel Schild and his team have been chasing a bold vision for eight years: to push the #efficiency and #lifespan of wind turbines beyond the ordinary. This year, our solution has become production-ready on a real turbine. Our technology uses Model Predictive Control (#MPC) and increases turbine performance in real-time by combining high-performance optimization algorithms and model-based control. Outcome: The Annual Energy Production (#AEP) increases by 1-2 percent, and fatigue loads can be reduced by up to 10 percent.
