I am amazed by how many of my fellow Allspringers have joined the Expect Miracles Foundation - Financial Services Against Cancer distance challenge in 2024 – we are at 434 Strong! It is a cause close to my heart, taking my dad way to early. It is designed to make a difference where 100% of participant-raised dollars through the Distance Challenge goes to cancer research as well as financial assistance for young adult cancer survivors. I can appreciate how many of us have our specific charities, and that is totally understandable. …so here’s my simple ask: Just “like” this post. That’s all. No strings attached. Neuroblastoma is a terrible childhood cancer that is often treated with increasingly intensive, toxic and prolonged treatment which can have a huge impact on little bodies. Thankfully, researchers like Dr Greg Goodall from University of South Australia are looking into better and safer ways to treat neuroblastoma, thanks to generous donations from the South Australian community. Dr Goodall is using a new approach to identify which children would benefit from more intense treatment, and those who could be spared from treatment they don't need. His ultimate hope is that his research will lead to new and less toxic treatment options for children in the future.
