El Camino Health is proud to have recently passed 5,000 cases with patient-reported long-term outcomes for joint replacement. With the leadership of our surgeons, our orthopedic care team was an early adopter of evidence-based, patient-reported functional surveys that report on the effectiveness of their surgery relative to their quality of life after knee or hip replacement. Not only does this help us understand how we can work toward consistently favorable outcomes, but we also contribute to the better understanding of techniques and technologies by submitting certain data elements to the national data registry for orthopedics.
