Two years ago, we filmed this promo video for a listing in Lake Forest Park and it resonates with me for multiple reasons. 1. The week after we came under contract on this home, the Federal Reserve (Fed) embarked on a series of interest rate hikes, elevating the short-term federal funds target rate a staggering 11 times to combat inflation. 📈 From the near-zero percent baseline, it quickly soared to a range of 5.25% to 5.50% by July 2023 and changed the Seattle real estate market as we knew it. 2. Simultaneously, Lyon Creek Real Estate was taking its first steps. This particular listing wasn't just a property; it was the catalyst that put us onto the map (in my mind). The success of this listing paved the way for other incredible listings where we helped many great clients reach their real estate goals. It's incredible how economic shifts and business milestones intersect. The COVID era housing boom was ending, and Lyon Creek Real Estate was preparing for launch.
