“People used to compare Broadcom to a private equity company that would just suck all the profits out and then throw away the carcass after it's done. That's not what Broadcom does. What Broadcom does is they narrow down and continue to invest in R&D. We heard this from Charlie Kawwas, the semiconductor side,” says Vellante
“They look for durable markets. They invest. They want to be number one in technology so that they can lock you in. They've got the best product, but customers are pissed. There's no question about it. Customers say, I'm paying 90% more. Their bill went up 500%. So, what are you going to do? You're going to re-architect your entire infrastructure, which is running great,” he adds.
