Working with a recruiting agency doesn't always have to be based on a contingent fee or long-term retainer. Working with the RIGHT recruiting agency will allow you to build out the hiring plan and model that works for both parties. Some of my favorite clients / success stories have been those who needed long-term support that didn't "fit" into a contingent model. What did we do? We built out the proposal that made sense for both sides. If you are shopping around for recruitment assistance and the flat contingency model doesn't feel right to you, then it probably isn't.
