As an experienced Farm Manager at Betteravia Farms, Manuel Navarro makes it clear: understanding hive health and being efficient with the timing of bees in their orchards is what really matters—not just counting hives per acre. At BeeHero, we give growers the tools they need to ensure optimal pollination and maximize crop potential. Listen as Manuel explains how BeeHero is driving efficiency and delivering results for his farm. Founder at &collab: I coach entrepreneurs, helping them scale their businesses while also achieving personal growth
Two Regen Agri legends, Andrew Ardington and Peter Byck on the stage in Cape Town. Just before watching the first episode of a 4-part docuseries - Roots So Deep (you can see the devil down there). The documentary series explores the world of adaptive cattle farmers and their conventional farming neighbours. Alongside this journey, a team of pioneering scientists conduct groundbreaking research, investigating the costs and benefits of grazing practices in harmony with nature versus those in conflict with it. The Q&A session was particularly interesting and especially when it came to conventional farmers being super curious about what their neighbour regen farmers were doing - seeing the positive impact and results from these practices, but still not feeling free to walk over to them, to ask the questions on their mind. But isn't it so for most businesses. What is holding us back from engaging with others in our network and industry. We can all learn from each other - on both sides of the fence. Collaboration is key in changing the way we have always been doing things. #regenagri #collaboration #courageousleadership

Great to have attended the 2024 #CattleCon in Orlando, Florida where 8,000 cattle folk descended into town to discuss all things ranching. This included a growing focus on regenerative ranching, with a fantastic presentation from Dr Jeff Goodwin from Texas A&M University. Jeff presented on the ‘Real-World Benefits ($$) of Managing for Improved Soil Health’ in a session sponsored by National Grazing Lands Coalition. In his presentation, he explained that regenerative principles align with the profitability of a grazing enterprise. The art in all of this is to focus on the principles that can be applied to different producer contexts, as opposed to prescribing practices. The upside beyond soil health and profitability is that this approach is ‘making ranching fun’. With nearly 50 measured soil carbon increases from producers in Australia, AgriProve is scouting regenerative networks in the US where our insights from measuring and monetising improved soil health in the form of carbon credits, can be applied to ranching operations. #RegenerativeAgriculture #SustainableAgriculture #ClimateInnovation

Today is #WorldBeeDay, and we’re buzzing with excitement to share how we’re working to #savethebees. (Stats included!). Here’s the scoop: - With a staggering 25 million hive samples collected daily, BeeHero has successfully doubled its previous data collection capacity. That means our algorithms are sharper than ever! - We’ve recorded a whopping 50% more bee frames per hive than the industry standard. That means fewer hives per acre, and less hassle for our growers. - With 300K hives now under our wing, it’s clear – precision pollination is the future of farming. So, let’s raise a glass to groundbreaking data, healthier hives, and a thriving planet. That’s what we call a win-win-win. Pollinator Week 2024 is a celebration of the vital role that pollinators play in our ecosystems, economies, and agriculture. Under the theme "Vision 2040: Thriving ecosystems, economies, and agriculture," this year's event urges us to envision a future where pollinators not only survive but thrive. Bees, butterflies, moths, bats, beetles, and hummingbirds, are the unsung heroes behind the food we enjoy and the beauty that surrounds us. We know that pollinators thrive in our member gardens, so read our latest blog about how you can help manifest a future where pollinators thrive: https://lnkd.in/giPfzX-7 Pollinator Week was initiated and is managed Pollinator Partnership since 2008. #PollinatorWeek

Our 2024/25 protocol is here. The protocol is the document that guides what we measure, and how we measure it. Over 6 months, we integrated feedback from: Over 500 farmers NGOs including WWF-UK and National Trust The Exchange Farmer Advisory board The Exchange Science Advisory board The result is an upgraded methodology that includes vital new metrics like Soil Cover %, Food Production and Nutrient Balances. Plus improvements to how we measure many of the metrics across all our 6 impact areas of soil health, carbon, biodiversity, animal welfare , water and social. Our top priority was developing a protocol that truly benefits farmers. The metrics we use must help farmers access financial rewards, make practical improvements, and be straightforward to implement. The aim being to ensure Exchange is accessible to all farmers, regardless of their type or scale of operation. Check it out at https://lnkd.in/e8pqExbJ The protocol is an ever evolving project - so let us know what you think at [email protected] Huge thanks to Dr Abigail Barker for her dedication in leading the creation of this protocol. At first, we thought it was a joke 🤷🏼♂️ When planning a tree-planting session, Eduard asked us to bring a used tote bag, two cooked potatoes and a big bottle of freshly collected seawater. Things are strange, usual, hilarious, easy and tough at the same time here in Cadiz 🇪🇸❤️ I haven’t shared the farm log for a while, but there are definitely updates: - I have started a company 😇 - Almost lost a dog - Learned a tonne about cattle farming - Arrived at some great solutions working with Planton Farm remotely on the finances! Thanks a lot to Clare Hill, Manuel Troya Cantos, Annie Rayner, iñigo juantegui, Silas Hedley - Lawrence, Saba Nazarian, Marcus Link and Daniel H. Kristensen for good times and great conversations!
