A culture of support wasn't Veaux Professional Services, LLC experience. As a small business in the City of Houston, we are doing our best to stay in business and provide jobs for others. Hello, hello. My name is Hope Malbo. I'm the CEO of Bo Professional Services and we are a workplace culture company. So we believe in creating an environment where employees thrive and that they have a positive work, work environment. And we do that through workshops and trainings and all of that. But that's actually not why I'm here because I'm so passionate about workplace. Culture also understand the customer experience and I want to talk to you quickly about an inexperience and though it hasn't been beneficial for me, I'm hoping that this reaches the powers that be so that other small business owners can have a better experience. I'm not only with custom with the the reps that answer the calls, but also just the overall experience and support for our businesses. And so as stated, I'm a small business and I'm in order to grow our. Business we are focusing on city, state, federal. Contracts and so with that comes a lot of different requests from the vendors that the people that are issuing those contracts to us are potentially issuing those contract to us. I'm one of the major things is insurance. And so again as a small business owner I don't have a need to have technically commercial insurance, but obviously if a bid is requesting it, we do it. And so we're in a situation where we have gotten to the point where we've been able to satisfy all the requests for this particular. Um, company and we are at a point where there is a verification form that is needed for the commercial auto insurance. I thought it was best to stick with my personal auto insurance, which is with GEICO. GEICO from a personal side had been OK with us. You mean obviously there's not very many demands on that, but I switched over to commercial insurance. This is where the story goes a little dark because I was issued that insurance with no problem. But when it came to a verification form that the particular company was requesting in order for us to be approved vendors, GEICO said that they don't do that. So I have a couple tips and I, I wanted to use this as a lesson because I think a lot of business owners can and businesses just in general can benefit from it. As a workplace culture company, part of our culture standards and how we teach our clients is when it comes to your, your customers, you want to listen to them. Just because something hasn't been done doesn't mean it can't be done. We've spoken with three to four reps, we've sent emails and basically underwriting said they could not fill out this verification. Form and I also want to express that the verification form is literally a form that says yes, we provided this certificate of insurance for this particular company. Obviously there is you know fraud that could be taking place and the company that's requesting this is advising that's why they're requesting this form and so I'm, I'm honestly outraged because this is how I plan to scale my business I'm small business according to politics and everything else is the the bedrock of of the country and here I am trying to create. More jobs trying to go out after bids, paying for the expensive commercial insurance that I generally don't need as a a consultant that goes and does trainings. But this is the request, you know, for this particular company. And I just want GEICO to know, I want other companies to know this is where company culture comes into place when we're teaching our employees that it's not just a no just because we don't do it. Maybe it's a let's go into a different practice. Let's go look and see. What it takes to do this, let's make sure from a risk standpoint and I will say there shouldn't be any risk on GEICO. They've actually issued it. It's real, the certificate of insurance. And so any recommendations that you have outside of GEICO? I don't believe GEICO is for small businesses. And then that's pretty much why I'm on here. Maybe this will save another small business who is bidding for different things. And if you have that, if you have GEICO as a personal insurance, it might not be, it might not be the very best insurance for your commercial insurance. Needs and of course I'm not I'm not looking to stay with them even for my personal insurance after this experience. And I just wanted to jump on here and let this be like a warning to other companies. Be sure that especially leaders, be sure that you're encouraging a culture where when a client calls in because I am essentially a client of GEICO, but when a client calls in and makes a request, it's not just simply no, just because because that no could very well. Tank a business. I'm especially a small business and I just wanted to get on here to be a voice for other small business owners. Be careful if you're going out for bids, you know, before you even, you know, go with the company that you're used to being with. Make sure that they can actually meet your needs and and meet your request. If you have anybody you're, you know, friends with anybody at GEICO, go ahead and tag them below. I would love to have a conversation with them again. I believe that situation is closed for me. But I don't want it to be closing for other companies that are looking to do business with them and and grow their business. So comment below. Has anybody ever, ever had these experiences? And if you can recommend some good commercial insurance companies that work with small businesses and understand the demand and the need for agility within the process of insurance.
