Generative AI has been hailed by some as one of the solutions to many of today’s health system problems – staff shortages, staff pressure, increasing case numbers and complexity, and escalating healthcare costs. How do experts in the #healthcareindustry view these claims? At #HLTHEurope Shez Partovi, Philips’ Chief Innovation & Strategy Officer, was joined by thought leaders from Deloitte, University Medicine Essen, Nuance, and Newton’s Tree, on a panel to explore the possibilities of generative #AI in #healthcare. Three key themes emerged from the discussion: 1. The potential of generative AI to help free up time for clinicians to focus on patients 2. How AI can enhance patient and staff experiences 3. The challenges and risks of implementing AI Watch the HLTH Europe panel here: https://lnkd.in/d9jKjHnG

Great. It's important to explore the possibilities and risks early. "A definite yes, but with important reservations about trust." How can we build AI (or any technology) to be trustworthy? A big part of that is establishing a lasting, healthy relationship with the machine. Sure, it has to be knowledgeable and correct, but beyond that, what is its character? How does it communicate with us? Do I want it as my partner?

Thanks for this post, and glad to see Philips active in this area. Check out BIORCE . we are leveraging GenAi to cut costs of trial and the time it takes to run them. While we focus on industry, we equally focus on patients and physicians.

Thanks for sharing. Glad to see freeing up time for clinicians as #1
