Tunisia is actively seeking a company to develop its e-visa platform as part of its efforts to modernize the visa application process. The initiative aims to simplify entry procedures for foreign travelers and enhance the efficiency of visa processing. An international call for tenders has been launched by the Ministry of Communication Technologies, inviting eligible bidders to submit their proposals by October 15, 2024. This project is supported by a loan from the African Development Bank, which will finance part of the implementation of the national strategic plan "Digital Tunisia 2020." The introduction of the e-visa system is expected to significantly reduce processing times for visa applications and relieve consular missions from the burdensome administrative tasks associated with traditional paper applications. By streamlining the visa process, Tunisia aims to boost its tourism sector and improve international trade relations, making it easier for travelers from various countries to visit.
