Having second thoughts about a role you’re interviewing for? That is quite normal. Changing jobs is a big deal and can be incredibly stressful, regardless of why you’re moving. If you’re having doubts or concerns, speak up. Talk to your friends, your family, someone you trust - whoever it is, voicing your concerns out loud can really help. And if you are working with a recruiter- be open with them! It’s our job to listen. #hiring #newjob #interviewadvice

Corporate and Tech Recruitment | Talent Acquisition Professional - Focus on DEI | 10+ years’ experience
Hiring Manager: "We liked him, but can you keep him warm." Please, let's stop asking recruiters to keep candidates warm…..they aren't a casserole. Are you not feeling 100% and want to continue interviewing? Do you have a candidate who better matches what you are looking for? Are you preparing to make an offer to someone else? Is the role changing? Did budgets get cut? If they're right for the job, then move them forward. If not, let the candidates know. It's the right thing to do. It's frustrating to see candidates being left in the 'keep warm' limbo after an interview. We need a more efficient and respectful hiring process. Agree? 👩🏻💻Hi, I'm Ximena, a Talent Acquisition Professional advocating for DEI and candidate experience. 💪🏻 I specialize in elevating recruiting processes and transforming career journeys ☕ I'm always open to meeting or chatting with other Talent Professionals! Music to my ears: Client: Jennifer, I've got a high priority role and the hiring manager is actively engaged. They are going to clear their calendar to interview candidates once you've screened them. Me: Woohoo!!! I'm on it and will have you candidates within a week! The more engaged and available a hiring manager is, the faster the hiring process goes. We've filled VP and Director level roles in less than a few weeks because of this. And what an amazing candidate experience for someone coming into your company to say I was hired in just a few weeks! I know you hiring managers are crazy busy when you're down a person or two, so just want to say thanks for staying engaged and being available to interview. It makes a huge difference in getting the job filled! #hiring

🚨 Attention all job seekers, recruiters, and hiring managers! 🚨 Before opening any job postings, maybe, just maybe... make sure your Scope of Work is clearly defined? 😅 I mean, why confuse the hired folks between what they should do and whatever they think they should do? Oh, you hired a Team Lead, but they’re doing the work of a Senior Operations Manager? Classic! 🤡 What’s the point of hiring a Director if the Middle Managers are already doing everything “subjectively and perfectly” anyway? Isn’t that kinda... I don’t know, against your cost-cutting strategy? 🤑 And don’t get me started on the "big guy" in the corner office making decisions purely based on opinions passed up by the team under him. #CorporateGenius 🧠 These job openings? A total FAKE. You post them for formality, right? Gotta show some "internal proof of backfilling" or whatever. 💼 In reality, those seats are reserved for someone else from the get-go, and no amount of enthusiasm will change that. 🤷♂️ Meanwhile, people you rejected in interviews? Yeah, they’re out there running their own businesses now, hiring folks based on actual skills rather than some bizarre rejection criteria. LMAO 🤣 And a round of applause to the IT Tech folks, because guess what? They’ll continue to thrive whether they’re in the company or out of it. 📈 The real struggle? Oh, that’s non-tech IT people, endlessly grinding for jobs that probably don’t exist unless they’ve got deep pockets for referrals or else the retired military folks are actively keeping the high seats warm. 🧓 #Gatekeeping101 To everyone drowning in a sea of "Unfortunately, we’ve decided to move forward with other candidates" emails: IT’S NOT YOU. A 30-minute interview can't define who you are. Keep that momentum. 🚀 Skills will always win over any senseless rejection process. 💪 #HiringFails #JobSearch #RecruitmentBlunders #InterviewInsights #TechWins #MiddleManagementMastery #JobHuntingJourney #FakeJobOpenings #DontLoseHope #EntrepreneurshipBoom

If you're hiring for your team but haven't interviewed anyone yet, you need to hear yourself answer these 6 questions. It'll help you know what to look for when you start talking to candidates. 1. What work is not getting done as a result of this vacancy? 2. What would be consequence to the business if we DON'T find someone? 3. What would be the good fortune to the business if we DO find someone? 4. Looking at the existing team, what skills do we need more (or less of) to balance the group? 5. What would we expect this person to accomplish by their first performance review? 6. What is the next level in the company this role could be promoted into? #hiringstrategies #interviewtips #candidateevaluation

♦️ You did not get HIRED even though you were fully qualified for the JOB. They did not even get back to you. Here are 5 reasons why. 1. They want to hire a friend or a relative but they "need" to go through the motions of interviewing people. 2. They simply wanted to pump you for information, "free consultation". 3. You were "too good" and the insecure hiring manager saw you as a threat to own position. 4. They wanted someone younger, someone they think they can boss around. 5. They wanted someone with more experience, but they don't realise that it is not the number of years, but their quality that matters. You know what, in all these cases, they don't deserve you ! The right company will hire you, keep on going ! #jobs #interview #hiring
