Mother's Day Post Clarification I want to address the reaction to my recent Mother's Day post, which has sparked quite a bit of misunderstanding and controversy. First and foremost, my intention was solely to express gratitude to the birth mother (and mothers like her) of a little girl who is very dear to me and now a cherished member of my family. Here are a few points to clarify: 1. Intent: My post was a heartfelt thank you to a birth mother who made a courageous choice. It was not a commentary on women's rights or related issues. 2. Respectful Discourse: Nowhere in my post did I mention anything about women's rights, either pro or against. It was purely about adoption and the personal impact it has had on my life. 3. Professionalism and Respect: It is disheartening to see some people resort to bullying and harsh reactions based on assumptions. Respectful discourse is essential, especially in a professional community like LinkedIn. If you disagree, let's engage in constructive conversations rather than resorting to insults. 4. Networking and Authenticity: LinkedIn is more than just a job-seeking platform for me. It's a place where I've built meaningful, lasting relationships through genuine interactions. Sharing personal experiences and supporting each other beyond resumes fosters true connections and community. My friends and professional network understand the spirit of my post, and I stand by my decision to share it.
