🎉 Castlemont High Gives Rising 9th Graders a Strong Start! 🎉
Each summer, Castlemont High hosts a summer bridge event. It's a crucial step in setting incoming students up for success for their entire high school experience.
🌟 Building Confidence: Students get a head start on navigating their new school, making them feel more comfortable and confident on day one.
🌟 Making Connections: Through team-building activities, they form friendships with peers and build relationships with teachers who will support them every step of the way.
🌟 Academic Readiness: Focused sessions help sharpen both academic and non-academic skills, giving students the tools they need to thrive.
🌟 School Know-How: From learning how to read their schedules to knowing where to find resources, students will hit the ground running with essential knowledge about their new school.
The impact of this program goes beyond these few days—it's the foundation for a successful, empowering high school experience. 🤩

What's a good school, in your opinion?
Here's our take.
A place where learning closely meets individual values;
A warm community where we forgive and repair relationships if broken;
A place where any mistake is just a new lesson added to a long string of experiences;
A place where only time travel is impossible - at least until we find out it isn't;
A place where diversity doesn't divide us but unites us;
A place where each of us can be unique, where we are all authentic in being different;
A place where we learn not only formulas or facts but many interesting things about the world around us and how we can live a happy and fulfilling life.
In the following days, we will take you on a virtual journey and show you what a day in the life of a student at Transylvania College looks like. Until then, what makes a good school for your children? 😊
Summer bridge programs aren’t just beneficial for prospective students...
They can be a great way to help increase retention and boost graduation rates.

“This is going to add a whole other incentive bonus for our intern program!!”
I took a client on a tour yesterday to one of our amazing communities we partner with. As soon as she stepped into the apartment, she spoke about the benefits of having a housing partner with National.
As the demand for top talent continues to grow, providing a positive intern experience is more important than ever. At National Corporate Housing, we understand that the right housing can make a huge difference in how interns adapt to and thrive in their roles.

Think about the last time you were part of an organizational change. I'm certain you cringed 😫 Whether a transformation, reorganization, strategic direction, or other reason, change brings apprehension and concern.
What makes a difference? The people and how they are involved throughout the process. Here are a few items each role can do to make a difference.
⭐ Leaders: Provide clarity of direction, ensure people have what they need to be successful, empower people to be a part of the change.
⭐ Employees: Get involved as earliest as possible to create a sense of ownership and build advocacy.
⭐ Customers: Inform direction and provide feedback along the way (even better if they are embedded into the process).
It's inspiring to see Austin Community College's Theory of Change first hand. The leaders have been clear in direction and communication, and also humble in adjusting and sharing what they don't know yet. The employees are part of designing the strategic direction and are getting radical transparency. Students have been involved from the beginning to provide their perspective.
No change is ever perfect. Listening and continually improving help to make necessary shifts to stay focused on the vision. And people help each other keep going.
Grateful for all the wonderful people at Austin Community College that I've met and have a chance to work with!

I'm so delighted that we have members from every division of Austin Community College Student Experience and Outcomes represented across Theory of Change Design Teams: Career, Student Impact & Outcomes, Student Life, Transfer, and even the admin support team (me!).
I'm probably biased, but I truly believe that student experience and outcomes is a team within our College with a culture that truly lives the values of courage, compassion, joy, and yes.
I know each of these people loves our students deeply and is ready to redesign this college so that our students feel that love every step of the way.
I am so proud of my SE&O colleagues and can't wait to see what magic they bring to each team lucky enough to have them!
To help them acclimate to campus life, all incoming Stonehill College students are required to take a one-credit “First-Year Experience (FYE)” course during their first semester. Volunteer faculty, staff and returning students facilitate this class. We recently asked this year’s FYE facilitators to offer their best advice on studying, figuring out the best career fit, and making friends in college.
“Accept change, confusion and new experiences,” Michael Sheehan ’25 said. “It’s completely normal to not be quite sure what you want to do. My best recommendation is to say ‘yes’ to classes or experiences outside your major. They can be quite eye-opening.”
