Great news. I want share the fly on the wall reaction that is as important as a festival or award show recognition. When sitting in a crowded bar, after my Thursday night adult rec-soccer game, and people ask you what I do, the first response always comes with a critique of the worst spot on air or a recall of their favorite commercial (even for skeptics of advertising). This year unprompted in anyway, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard, “I do love that State Farm Commercial with Aronold, that is very funny.” It’s an important distinction from, “I loved that commercial with (insert celebrity) in the (insert situation), i cant remember who it was for. Kudos to the team and Highdive again and again. It’s so difficult to breakthrough and do that once in your career let alone consistently for a roster of clients. I’m not sure how many people realize the amount of strategy, creativity, trust and executional excellence that has to hit the mark have a chance to do that. Budgets and celebrities and a high profile platform only guarantee the investment not the results. I’m off track, I really wanted to say - it’s a genius idea and laugh every time I see it. I hope it becomes as famous as Jake from State Farm.
