Did you know that in Australia, a disease is deemed rare if its prevalence is below five cases per 10,000 individuals? And that there are over 7,000 rare diseases, many of which very seriously impact the lives of individuals and families? Approximately 8% of the Australian population, or around two million people, grapple with these rare health conditions. As part of our work with Rare Voices Australia, we invite you to attend a simulation workshop that will challenge your thinking about health system improvement for people living with rare disease. When: Thursday 21 March 2024 Time: 11am-2pm Where: Macquarie University, NSW Led by Prof Jeffrey Braithwaite, Prof Yvonne Zurynski and Christina Rojas, we will work toward discovering new ways of improving care integration for people living with rare disease. We will have some fun together too. Everyone is welcome - clinicians, patients, caregivers, policymakers, health system managers or researchers. Click this link for more information and to register for this free event. #healthcare #raredisease #rarediseases #patientsafety #patientexperience Macquarie University Macquarie University Centre for the Health Economy https://lnkd.in/gFTWRHHX
