What our discussion inspired me.. 🤔 A few days ago in Paris, I met President Emmanuel Macron at the FrancoTech event, organised in conjunction with the Francophonie summit. 🇫🇷 This meeting sparked a thought in my mind, which I'd like to share with you : Working in Africa is about more than business, it's about human relationships and impact and some times it can get emotional. 🌍 When collaborating with international companies, agencies or organisations priorities and methodologies can be very different - and that often complicates things. Disagreements are frequent. That's inevitable. But here are two lessons I've learned: 1️⃣ Don't fight on all fronts - choose yout battles 2️⃣ Always leave the door open for dialogues Because in the end, picking the right battles and encouraging dialogue is what makes all the difference and at the end helps us reach comon goals.💡 #Leadership #BusinessInAfrica #Collaboration #Management #GrowthMindset

I am proud to share that over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege to initiate and lead the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People program at the American Center, US Embassy Bujumbura, an experience that has profoundly deepened my understanding of leadership, personal growth, and the power of positive impact. What began as a passion to share timeless principles of effectiveness turned into an opportunity to empower others to live with integrity, purpose, and intentionality. Guiding individuals: students and professionals through this transformative process has not only been about teaching habits, but about fostering self-awareness, accountability, and a commitment to meaningful service. I am deeply grateful to the Public Diplomacy Department of the US Embassy in Burundi for trusting me with this initiative. Their support has been instrumental in creating a space where personal victories—like being proactive and prioritizing what matters most—lead to collective successes that uplift our communities. The true joy of this journey has been witnessing participants realize their potential to make a difference in their spheres of influence. For me, leadership has always meant more than titles. It is about creating an environment where others can thrive and unlock potential that may have otherwise remained dormant. As a servant leader, I believe that service is the highest calling, and every opportunity to share knowledge or inspire growth is a step toward leaving the world better than we found it. Being a female leader, wife, and mother is no small feat—it’s a balancing act that often feels impossible. Our Founder Dr Patricia Murugami [Global Growth Catalyst and Leadership Educator], through her experience decades ago, understands the unique challenges that come with wearing multiple hats.
