🎵 Try and come for my job 🎶 - said Taylor Swift. But actually, I do really, really want you to come for my job. With bittersweet feelings, I am leaving HelpAge International later this year. Are you the person I can hand the baton to? Or is someone you know that person? It's location flexible, and initially interim. Why apply? Well, because it's one of the best jobs in development, with a few big IFs - 1. If you can see ageism, and the injustice of it will motivate you to firewalk that fine line from advocacy to deal-making with donors. 2. If you want to work in a global organisation that has (almost) fully localised - so there is no command and control, no big department, instead you will be working with colleagues, partners and networks to create ideas that belong to all of you, and get them funded. 3. You're not afraid of a challenge - because this is a big challenge. The upside of that, is that this is a job in which you could actually change the world. In the BD team we want to ignite action on ageing from the donor community - with the 1.2 billion people over the age of 60 in the world. Hear us roar! I will soon announce what my next plans are but we still have one big report to launch here before I start to let go.
