Father's Day is coming up this weekend, and while we celebrate all of the amazing dads in our lives, it's also important to consider their heart health. 🫀 🔍 New research from the American Journal of Preventive Medicine reveals that the added stress and responsibilities of being a dad can affect cardiovascular health, especially for young fathers. 🌟 Transforming Gut Health in Children: A Neurological Approach 🌈✨ 1️⃣ Understanding the Challenge Moms, are you feeling overwhelmed by your child's persistent gut issues despite trying every remedy out there? You're not alone. These struggles can evolve into more complex challenges like sensory issues, emotional dysregulation, and anxiety due to the crucial gut-brain connection. 🧠💔 2️⃣ The Overlooked Solution At Vanella Chiropractic, we delve deeper than temporary fixes. We focus on neurologically-based chiropractic care to address the root cause of colic, constipation, and other gut issues in children of all ages. It's not just about managing symptoms; it's about holistic healing. 🌿👶 3️⃣ Beyond Traditional Methods Traditional approaches often miss the neurological component of these issues. Our care protocols target the central and autonomic nervous systems, crucial for regulating gut function. This approach brings remarkable results, unlike temporary solutions like reflux drugs or Miralax. 💊🚫 4️⃣ The Science Behind Our Approach The gut comprises smooth muscles controlled by the autonomic nervous system. Stress can cause these muscles to constrict, leading to issues like reflux and constipation. Our focus is on easing this tension and restoring natural, healthy function. 🌟🧘♀️ 5️⃣ Empowering Parents with Knowledge As a parent, the most empowering step is to learn more. At Vanella Chiropractic, we offer INSiGHT scans to precisely identify the stress and subluxation affecting your child's nervous system. Our tailored care plans are gentle, safe, and effective, especially for neuro-digestive challenges. 📚🔍 👉 Take Action for Your Child's Health If this resonates with you, we invite you to reach out. We've helped many children overcome constipation and other gut issues. Don't hesitate to contact us if your child needs help thriving. Share this with friends or family who might benefit from our approach. Together, let's nurture happy, healthy kids. 🌈💕 #ChiroSuccessStories, #HappyKids, #HealthyGut, #KidsFitness, #ConstipationRelief, #StayActive, #ChiroKids, #HolisticHealth, #EffectiveCare 🌟👶💫

I recently took part in a webinar for the British Heart Foundation to provide advice for cardiac patients and their families. You can catch up on the 'Live & Ticking' recording here.. https://lnkd.in/eAnEbpMj My PhD was funded by the BHF, and my Dad's ticker is still ticking largely because of BHF funded research, so this is a charity close to my heart ❤️ 😉 The hero of the event was Alice, pictured here. She bravely shared how anxious and lonely she had felt waking up in the middle of the night, short of breath, many months after her heart attack. She described the relief of speaking to a BHF Cardiac Nurse on the Heart Helpline. “To be able to speak to someone who had knowledge, and who understood why I was afraid, was absolutely invaluable.” Sleep problems are very common for those living with heart conditions, but that doesn't mean they are inevitable. The more you worry about lack of sleep, often the worse it becomes. I recommend doing the basic things well... - ⏰ Wake up at the same time every day - ☀ Get plenty of natural daylight in the mornings, even when it's raining (though not if storm Ciaran is on the rampage ⛈ .. sit by a window instead) - 🚶♂️ Take time out each day to do something active - speak to your medical team about low risk exercise, but a walk is a great place to start - 🧘♀️ Give yourself a chance to wind down and relax in the evening before you get into bed.. relaxing music, a good book or a warm bath will help - 📗 If you often feel worried or anxious, the habit of daily journalling can help to download thoughts, and stop them whizzing around your head at night Crucially, if you are managing a chronic condition, let your medical team know if your sleep is skewiff, or if you're feeling anxious and they will be able to help support you to get things back on track #bhf #sleep #hearthealth

Are you wondering, "Why is my child so anxious?" 😰 Let's delve into this with compassion and understanding. 🌈 🧠 The Nervous System's Role 🧠 Our children are navigating a world filled with social 🤝, emotional 🫣, and physical 🏃♂️ challenges. This can cause their nervous systems to get stuck in a "fight or flight" 🥊 mode, making them feel perpetually unsafe—even in peaceful settings. 🚗 The Gas and Brakes Analogy 🚗 Imagine stepping on the gas pedal ⛽ in your car but not being able to hit the brakes 🛑. That's what's happening to our overstimulated kiddos; they're running on full throttle without the ability to slow down. 🌙 The Ripple Effect 🌙 When the nervous system is stuck on "high alert," the calming centers of the brain 🧠 can't activate. This impacts not just their emotional well-being but also their sleep 😴, digestion 💩, and even immune function, culminating in anxiety. ⚖️ Balance is the Key ⚖️ A balanced nervous system allows your child to switch off the "fight or flight" 🥊 mode, helping them become less hyper-aware and more at ease. This is where we come in. 🌟 How We Can Help 🌟 As pediatric chiropractors focused on nerve interference, we can guide your child out of this stressful state and help them achieve a balanced nervous system. 🌈 If this resonates with your child's experience, click the link 🔗 in our bio to explore how Vanella Chiropractic can be a sanctuary of healing for your family. 💌 #AnxietyAwareness #NervousSystemBalance #FightOrFlight #PediatricChiropractic #VanellaChiropractic #SleepIssues #EmotionalWellBeing #HealingJourney 🌟🌈

A little forgetfulness is a natural part of aging, and most people find that their memories aren’t as good as they used to be, even if they aren’t that old. Some excellent explanations explain why your memory may not occasionally be as sharp as you would like. According to the NHS, many things can affect your memory, including stress, fatigue, and certain illnesses and medications.
